We called in here twice while spending a few days in Glasgow. You can always rely on a Wetherspoons for good honest value food and drinks. You always get a walm welcome and the staff are always friendly and helpful. (tourist information leaflets on the area & places to visit available)
Having visited many Wetherspoons in the UK It's always interesting to look at the pictures on the walls and find out about the history of the building. (sometimes we have a joke to ourselves and call Wetherspoon places 'sticky tables' as normally when we go in tables have been cleared but not wiped properly).
It was late afternoon on St Patricks day so it was very busy, we managed to find a seat in the dining area downstairs at the back, but only stayed for a pint of real ale and a larger & lime.
We came back on another evening and headed upstairs to a proper dining area (no way can I sit on them tall seats at tall tables). We ordered two mixed grills, peppercorn sauce, bottle of Hardys wine and two large coffee's which came to around £28.00. The meal was very nice and it just goes to show that you can go out for a nice meal in nice friendly surroundings and don't have to break the bank!
We will keep on visiting other Wetherspoons on our travels! You can't fault the value :)
