ha ha - "Kids of all ages" - we agree with that sentiment! We do try to be different from museums, we like you to try things out, play with the exhibits, experiment and just have fun, and if that brings out the inner kid that's great!

I can't tell when you visited but the cafe is usually open offering hot meals as well as coffee and snacks, plus there are a few vending machines if you just want a cold drink, chocolate or crisps.

“Fun day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Been to the Science Centre a couple of times now and always worth a visit, no matter your age.

Always worth checking out their schedule online so you can see what's on at the IMAX and what else they're doing that day.

Close to transport and lots of parking available.

“Never had a bad day at the science centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

My family and I all have annual passes to the science centre - it makes it MUCH cheaper for us all.

We go regularly and although things don't change that often, we never get bored.

I can't recommend it enough for kids and adults of all ages. PLUS the staff are just spectacular.

We went to the IMAX too yesterday and we had a really magical afternoon, and we won a polar bear.

If you're at all confused about whether you should go to the GSC - trust me, you should DEFINITELY go. If you'll go a few times this year, buy the annual pass.

“A child's dream and an adult's very enjoyable day out.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

The Science Centre is very easy to get around and even using a wheelchair is an easy task. The children's eyes light up as they come in and they just adore trying out all the hands on exhibits. There is a very nice restaurant to grab a bite to eat while exploring

“You get to play with all the gadgets!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Science centre rocks. Educational and fun. The planetarium is amazing! An amazing experience even if you are not really into stars - its hard when you get to the gift shop its the only place you are not allowed to touch everything (unless you buy it of course) . Staff are really nice too and obviously passionate about their job. Make a trip to the live show that runs during the day - when i went it was disgusting digestion - gross but awesome!
