Stayed here mid-week for a business trip. Having read the reviews on here, I'm happy to report the hotel lived up to expectations.
I got a lovely huge double room on the 3rd floor looking out onto Glasgow Central. I was a little ancious about potential noise as I'm a light sleeper but I needent have worried. The triple glazing does it's job and I slept like a baby.
A nice touch in the rooms was a very posh directory of Jury's inn hotels and a well thought tourist pack filled with leaflets of things to do in the locale. I was able to sit and plan my next Glasgow trip!
Breakfast was nice, though it would have been better had my toast been warm :( but the restaurant was nice and they cleaned the tables really quickly.
All the staff I encountered were really nice and were all to happy to provide me with directions when asked. I highly recommend this hotel and would definately book again

Dear Trip Advisor

Thanks for the great review. Sorry about the toast. I will talk to the breakfast team and ask that we make the toast more to order rather than in advance.

I am delighted you had an enjoyable stay and next time you are back in Glasgow do email me at peter_stack@jurysinns.com.

Sincerely

Peter Stack

Only booked the day before for a 1 night stay as in Glasgow for business. Best deal through Expedia.

Met by helpful courteous staff. Nice reception area with friendly staff and speedy check in and out.

Excellent location overlooking the Clyde. Nice clean and well equipped and air conditioned Triple Room (just for little me!) on 3rd floor which was linked to next door room if needed. Comfy bed with tea & coffee making in room plus hairdryer & TV with some satellite channels. Only small gripe would be that the bath towels were very small!

Very convenient multi story across the road with 15% discount offered to hotel guests. Nice Bar area, nice restaurant although only had breakfast there. Was recommended an interesting curry house "The Spice Garden" by the concierge which was just across the river. Very nice food and refreshingly different to the usual curry house menus.

All in all a good stay in a nice hotel great VFM and would def stay there again and will reccommend to colleagues.

Dear Trip Advisor

Thank you for your review. I am glad you mentioned the towels. I totally agree with you that they are too small. I am delighted to tell you that we are days away from signing a contract for larger towels. We did try and change the towel size earlier but we were tied into a contract and had to wait till it expired.

Hopefully we will see you back in Glasgow soon. On your next return do email me at peter_stack@jurysinns.com.

Regards

I stayed here with my husband and 16 year old daughter for 2 nights..We arrived after a 10hour journey..but didnt have a clue where to park so we parked in the multi story behind the hotel..and the hotel gave us a discount on the price of the parking..Check in was fast and friendly..great!! Our room was on the 7th floor..and i must say the floor in the lift was gorgeous..By any chance could you tell me who did the floor..and how i could get in contact with them? Our room was lovely..we had a view to the train station..and when i went to look out the window,..the glass was so clean that i hit my head off the glass noise barrior..silly me..!! shows how clean they keep the hotel i suppose!!Didnt hear any noise and slept like a baby!! The hotel is very well situated..and if i was in glasgow again..i would definaaly stay again!! thanks..! Only one negitive is the price of use of the internet in the hotel lobby..found that over expensive..but other than that great hotel!!

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 5 year old child last month for 1 night. The service from start to finish was as good if not better than a 5 star hotel. The location, being so central is excellent, but it was extremely quiet. We had a room on the 9th floor and overlooked the Clyde. We arrived after a long drive and deposited our luggage after a straightforward check in. We parked in the multi storey car park accross the road. This was totally hassle free. We took a taxi to Red Onion Restaurant which I would highly recommend. The food was excellent and it was very child friendly. We spent the evening chatting with friends in the hotel lobby. We slept so well that we missed breakfast the next morning so I cannot comment! On checking out, we met with Peter Stack, the manager who was extremely pleasant and helpful as we were looking for directions to Stranraer. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will certainly stay here again should I be in Glasgow.

We took the train to Glasgow. On arrival, you walk out the main entrance of the Glasgow Central train station, turn right, then right at the light, and walk 2.5 blocks. The street you are walking on changes its name to Jamaica St. Jurys is on the right. Actually, when you arrive by train, Jurys is directly above the last cars on the train. Reception is simple, but not really warm. There is no one to help with bags. Small 'lift'. Our double room looked more like a single room. Even on the 7th floor, you can hear the trains. The lobby is functional but not impressive. You are only 2 blocks from a pedestrian mall in central Glasgow. The Clyde River is amost outside the door of the hotel. Be sure to go to George Sq. just a few blocks from Jurys. Our room was disappointing: one towel, small bed, small room. But -- for one night -- and for the price -- it is OK.

  • Liked — Price, location
  • Disliked — Tiny room, tiny bed, not really a double room

Dear Trip Advisor

Firstly I must apologise if you not enjoy your stay. I will investigate to stay and find out exactly why you did not receive the level of service we endeavour to provide.

Just to answer a couple of issues raised. As our location is next to a train station all of our rooms have been noise tested and 220 rooms have been fitted with triple glazing.

Our procedure is to place two sets of towels in all rooms as all our rooms have either a double bed or a double and single bed. We do not have single bedded rooms. We also provide a 24hr housekeeping service to help with any guest requests.

I would really like the opportunity to speak to you directly as this in not the impression I want any of our guest to leave Jurys Inn Glasgow with.

If you wish to contact me my email address is peter_stack@jurysinns.com.

I look forward to hearing from you.
