I was very disappointed in the fact that i had stayed in the jury’s inn in Newcastle and had a great time, however this is no longer the case. I booked to stay in the jury’s inn in Glasgow because of my previous satisfaction at the Newcastle hotel, however the rooms were inadequately equipped and the customer service was appalling. There were 2 towels even though there was 3 people to a room and the Assistant Manager was so rude he definitely spoiled my weekend. I will no longer use the Jurys Inn service and neither will the 7 girls that accompanied me on the trip.

When checking in, Reception staff were efficient but a bit unfriendly.

We had booked a spacious standard room and had requested a non-smoking room and a high floor. Were given a small room on the second floor, which stank of cigarettes. Was fine for one night, but would not have wanted to stay for longer in this room.

Overall very disappointed given the excellent reviews we had seen about this hotel. Won't return, plenty of other hotels to choose from in Glasgow.

We stayed 2 nights 17-19 Feb, room rate of £66 per night booked on hotel website. Check in speedy and freindly 2 minute walk from station and although our room overlooked the platforms, sound insulation was good. Our room 727 was standard Jurys which is comfortable and functional but a little musty we think due to extractor not working which we reported on leaving. The only poor value was breakfast which at £9.50 is expensive but seems to be a way hotels off-set comparitively low room costs. We had a breakfast at Weatherspoons down the road full fry up orange Juice and Tea and Toast for £9. To summarise Jurys offers good value clean rooms and reliable standards and is an excellent base for sampling Glasgows attractions.

I would recommend the hotel if you are looking for a clean and comfortable city centre hotel. One or two minor gripes - hotel is right over platforms to the central station so unless you are in a very high room you will heqar some early morning train noise even though the hotel is double glazed. Second minor gripe - whe I was there the room I stayed in did not have adequate heating and so I felt a bit chilly. Appraently if I had complained they would have brought me a heater up. Breakfast was good but second morning I found a cheaper alternative cooked brakfast in the weatherspoon pub next door so that is worth doing if you are on a room only option and want to save money,
