I thought this hotel was great. It's pretty basic, but its really all you need if you aren't looking for luxury travel. Only spent one night here, but noticed that it is pretty centrally located, right near the River Clyde. Two things stand out to me--The staff was so incredibly friendly and very accomodating. I had been on contact with the hotel staff a month before to arrange for a car service out of town, and thought they were so helpful in arranging for my request. Also, the breakast buffet in the morning was great-the potatoes in the morning were the best I've ever had!! My first night in Scotland was very comfortable due to my stay at Jurys, highly reccomended.

Were visiting on a family trip, emailed the hotel prior to arriva to check we could leave luggage which was told ok and possibly our room may be ready.

We arrived at 11am to ask to leave our luggage and found our room was ready so we could check in, very helpful front desk staff (Gemma checked us in and out). Was greeted by the Duty Manager, Gary, and was told if we needed anything just to contact him. Very professional manner and very pleasant gentleman.

Check into room, (Family for 3 adults and child @ 14), well proportioned, large bathroom. Was equipped properly (with 4 sets of towels, mugs etc) which some hotels forget.

Had asked gary for directions o a theatre and when returned downstairs he gave very good directions and a map of the city :-)

Later in the evening, we requird more milk and was promptly brought to the room for us.

Very swift check out (again Gemma & Gary), cant comment on food as we never ate in but everyone looked to be enjoying meals, lattes etc

Enjoyed our stay and will definetly be back

Thanks

We stayed here last night 7/11/08. We can not fault the hotel at al. The staff at check in were fantastic and efficient. The room was lovely, clean and spacious.
The hotel is in an excellent location so we only had to walk a few minutes to our destination the Cathouse and Stereo.
There is plenty around the hotel to eat and shop in or walk a few mins to the main shopping centers.
We will def stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jurys. Having emailed Peter Stack prior to our arrival, he very kindly set aside a 10th floor room for us, which was complete with stunning views of the river clyde.
I really could not fault the hotel on its friendliness and service- much better than many 5 star hotels we have stayed in.
The room was a of a satifactory size, clean, and with everything we needed. Television channels were basic, but this was clearly not the purpose of our stay !
The hotel is also well positioned for a stroll into the centre of Glasgow.
The only problem we had all weekend was the fire alarm being set off at 6.45am on Sunday morning- a rude awakening ! However, this was not at all the fault of the hotel- the police were in attendance later to deal with the guilty parties. We were back in our rooms within half an hour.
Overall, then, a very pleasant stay, offering very good value for money. We will definitely return.

My wife, our daughter and myself stayed in a family room for one night last week.
We booked the hotel after reading the positive reviews it had received and we were not disappointed. Reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful and although we were early, our room was ready for us after 20 mins. The manager had kindly arranged for a quiet room with a river view and room 1106 was perfect. Everything was clean and fresh and the room was very spacious with a double bed and a proper single bed for a 16 year old, not a pull out type that we often get at other hotels. The bathroom was modern and bright and the shower was great.
We didn't eat in the restaurant but we did have a few drinks in the bar before we went out and the prices were reasonable for a city centre hotel.
We slept well after a great night out at the Cafe Andaluz tapas restaurant on St Vincent Street and departed for home the next morning.
I would definitely stay here again so well done to the manager and all his staff for making it such a special stay.
