We booked my Father & his Partner, Helen into Jury's for a special trip to Glasgow to celebrate his 80th Birthday. I got in touch with Peter Stack, Hotel Manager to ask a special favour - for them to be allocated a nice room with a view.
He got them the best room in the hotel- and when they were checking out on departure, he made a point of meeting with them to make sure they enjoyed their stay. A personal touch that other hotels/Managers fail to match!
We stay in Glasgow quite often (business & pleasure). This is undoubtedly the nicest, most welcoming hotel we have stayed in.
We had to stay in a different (more expensive) hotel this week. Check-in was inattentive, room was big but tired, breakfast was confused/chaotic. Jury's breakfast is the best in town!
Ony disappointment = fully booked for the night of the Scotland Norway game next month. But, plans already made for a bunch of us to stay over after our Xmas party in December!
