I have just returned from a one-night stay in the Jury's Inn in Glasgow. It was in my opinion a very non-enjoyable stay and I was glad it was just for one night. It was very pricey as well at a cost of £87 for the night (excluding breakfast too which was an outrageous £9.95 for a very average meal)
The room itself was ok, very basic I thought and did what it needed to do. The room was facing a very disgusting large high rise Hostel with loud parties going on in nearly every single room. It was very difficult to get any sleep at all. It was very off putting altogether.
The hotel bar was very small as well and the prices of the drinks were very expensive as well compared to anywhere else in the city that I have frequented.
The hotel staff were very unfriendly as well and when I asked one of the staff to show me where the nearest pay phone is (because the two in the lobby were not working), he sent me on a wild goose chase around the city when there was one directly across the road which I discovered when I got back, much to me disappointment after walking around for 30 minutes in the rain trying to locate the one that he sent me too. He even gave me a cheeky smile when I walked back in the door of the hotel soaked from head to too.
Anyway, I could go on but that was my first and last experience of the Jury's Inn in Scotland
