Just back from a night in the Marks Hotel, I was really impressed from the moment i arrived and would definately return when visiting Glasgow. It is in a prime location around the corner from Buchanan Galleries where most of the shops are, Queen St Train Station is 5 minutes walk away and the bus station around a 10 minutes walk. The hotel is very art deco / modern and was a refreshing change from other hotels i had stayed in previously. We booked a room for 3 adults and it was very spacious with lots of room to get ready, it had 1 single bed, 1 double bed and a large sofa bed. Also provided were lots of extra towels, an iron and iron board and tea/coffee making facilities. It was spotlessly clean and would appeal to all ages for its location and service. We were going to a concert in the SECC and the hotel called a taxi for us which cost £6 and only took about 5 minutes (depending on traffic) There is a bus which goes from Buchanan Bus Station to the Secc which costs around £1.50pp, but as there were 3 of us we opted for the quickest route there.
Glasgow's Nightlife and shopping is amazing and i cant wait to return
