I travelled with 5 other girls for a shopping weekend and stayed here on the Saturday night. I booked two treble rooms. Firstly the location to the shops was excellent and under a 10 min walk from Queen St railway station. The bedrooms were very comfortable, spacious and spotless. We did like the groovy wallpaper but maybe not to everyones taste. We did not find our rooms noisy but were on the 8th floor.

We were able to check in at 10.30am (most impressed). Prebooked the hotel restaurant and I would recommend here to eat. The food and service was excellent. You must order a coffee to try their homemade chocolate and orange fudge. The waitress kindly give us more when we asked. I had the full breakfast and it was one of the best cooked breakfasts I have ever had!!

For £89 per room and an extra £10 per head for breakfast this hotel is excellent value for money and I am returning.

Stayed here for a weekend at the beginning of November 2007!!! Great location...5 minutes' walk to Buchanan Subway and Bus Station!!!
Very nicely decorated hotel...which you'd expect for one that has only been refurbished!!!
We stayed in a triple room...which had single, double and sofa beds!!! No complaints about the room beside the reception on the LCD TV...a tad fussy!!!
After our first night the hotel staff tidied our room and took away our dirty towels...however they forgot to give us new towels...within 2 minutes of a call to reception someone was at our door with some!!!! Efficient service after they made a small mistake!!!
Breakfast was lovely now...everything cooked to order!!!
We ate in the restaurant for dinner...we aren't exactly the most adventurous of eaters so we were allowed to order off the room service menu...great friendly waiting staff!!!
Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced...they played chilled out Motown songs and there are nice big comfy sofas to relax on!!!
Will definitely return to The Marks Hotel...and recommend it to others!!!

Stayed in this hotel for one night back in October. Was originally meant to be three of us staying but ended up as two. Because we arrived in on the first flight that morning the hotel had kindly ensured that our room was ready when we checked in about 10am. Loved the decoration but don't think its something i would ever put in my own house! Location was very central - so close to the shops....Room was a little small for 3 people but for two it suited perfectly. Room backed onto a carpark and the roof of another building so was very quiet. Toiletries in the bathroom were lovely and the shower was great. Plenty of towels too...The only thing i felt about the room is that it was very warm. Too warm in fact and we couldnt figure out how to turn the heat down....As we were only there for one night we didnt drink in the bar or have the breakfast but the cocktails looked yummy!! Would definitely stay again if i got the chance!

I recently stayed in this Hotel whilst attending a course in Glasgow. I choose this Hotel for Price and Location and so was a little doubtful as to what i was going to get for this low rate. I was very pleasantly surprised.
The decor is very new and funky. Plasma TV and Wi-fi are a great touch for a value hotel. The room was very clean and well appointed.
The bar/restaurant were very nice and the cooked breakfast was of a very high quality.
I have read in other reports that noise levels were an issue for some guests, i stayed in a room facing the road and do not think the levels were any different to what you would expect in an other central location.
Although i used this hotel for business, i would definately use it again for personal travel.
