Where do I begin
Stayed in this Hotel when it was Bewleys Hotel on a regular basis. Have seen it during its redevelopment and now that it's complete it is stunning.
The bedrooms all refurbished are very modern, stylish and particularly clean. With Arran Aromatics in the bathrooms, plasma tv's and complimentary Wifi throughout, consideration has definately been given on this redevelopment. Have stayed in several rooms and although all great the rooms at the back of the Hotel are slightly bigger but the ones at the front have some great views of the city.
Now to the ground floor, you would not even recognise it. The reception has been extended and looking stunning giving a great first impression.
The Bar and Restaurant, called One Ten Bar and Grill, although a place that local businesses seem to be using, makes you feel equally welcoming. I was on my own as a business guest and never once felt uncomfortable.
I chose to eat in the Restaurant and will stay in this hotel again even if it was just for the food. All the managers were in total control of their staff ensuring service was first class. A recommendation would definately be the surf n turf. Cooked to perfection one of the tasiest. If you only opt for two courses you will definately force yourself to a third. Although reluctant to admit (chocolate Fondant ) is heaven.
Overall the food matched the quality of the venue. I even asked where some of the materials came from as so stylish.
Breakfast was served in the same Restaurant and although a different team on duty equally as attentive. So many hotels I stay in have the same staff in the morning as night before and to tired to serve you. Another bonus point was the Breakfast service. NO HOT BUFFET of dried uninteresting food, instead all freshly prepared and served.
All in all first time I have posted a review for some time but be a shame for others visiting Glasgow to miss the chance.
Your impression when you leave will be the impression you walk in with FIRST CLASS
