I agree with the previous reviewer - the Executive Rooms are very, very small. The bathrooms also are tiny.
The hotel is a very simple medium class hotel that has been given a fancy name but has neither the facilities nor the staff to live up to the ridiculous prices they charge.
I was fed up with the place and had breakfast across the road at Lang's (much nicer, bigger rooms, pleasant staff and the same price)
Staff are a big problem. Hostile receptionist ("No" was a stock answer to any request) No smiles, no "have a nice day" and not even a thank you when I paid the bill. Lucky she didn't ask if I had enjoyed my stay or I would have told her!
Another reviewer mentioned the problem with mini bar keys. That comment was made some months ago but the hotel still does not have keys! I had to ask three times for a key until I finally got one. What is their problem - don't they want to sell over-priced drinks?
The hotel is clearly living well on its brand name and the flow of customers this brings. It is a good example of a franchise gone wrong.
The physical problems of the hotel are one thing but even a half-decent management could improve matters a great deal by proper staff training in basic courtesy.

Below average hotel in need of a major upgrade. Booked an executive room which left a lot to be desired. There was a half drunk glass of wine in the mini bar. The mini bar did not close properly. The sofa was covered in stains. The window blind was badly torn. Street noise is unbearable. Pillows are a joke and bed very small. Bar staff so unfriendly that we walked to Langs hotel across the road and sat in the bar in there wishing we had booked in (for the same price!!). Breakfast ok but not a huge choice. Bathroom tiny and needs an overhaul. Overall won't be back, there are far better hotels in Glasgow for the same price.

Stayed for one night shopping trip.Excellent location.Pleasant rooms.5 mins from Queen Street station.Helpful staff.Usual buffet breakfast, fills you up ready for a days shopping!!On a busy corner but was'nt aware of noise as noted by other visitors.Perhaps we drank more wine!Did not use restaraunt but looked nice with special deals for residents.Would use this hotel again.Look out for good internet deals. We paid 65 pounds per room.

Arrived 22nd December, met by surly young man with goatee beard. He was really not interested in helping us check-in and restricted his advice to a grunt and a nod of his head when asked to direct us to the lift which would take us to our room. Once in the room and wanting a G&T from the mini-bar, which I hasten to add is listed on all the hotel's literature as being one of the room amenities in this 4 star hotel, we found the bar locked. A telephone call to reception resulted in us being told that this particular facility was not available that evening! He did however transfer us to the bar downstairs, who did bring the required drinks. But! On arrival of the drinks the waiter demanded the money there and then, despite our credit card being swiped downstairs earlier and having been told that any purchases being made in the hotel would be charged to the card, I was forced to go to a nearby cash point to obtain my money. 4 stars eh? I think not. In addition after we returned from the Panto at the nearby Pavillon Theatre, we noticed that our window would not shut, as you can imagine we decided not to bother complaining, perhaps this was our own error. The result was four hours of noise outside from the nearby lads and lasses leaving the loacl pubs and then clubs. I don't blame them for the noise, afterall it was Christmas, but if the window had been intact we would have slept soundly. I must state however on check-out the young lady behind the counter did seem interested in our compalints, however by then it was too late. We filled in a customer comment form and I await to see if we recieve a response, howewer judging by other comments on this site I will not hold by breath. My advice? Don't risk it.
