We stayed for 4 nights, booking made through a consolidator at £55 a night so pretty cheap. The room itself was fairly functional, with a decent bathroom, kitchen in a little annexe so it didn;t feel like part of the room.

Good things: location is great, cost very good compared to hotels. Having the ability to cook (albeit only 2 electric rings) meant much less dependence on eating out every night. Not too much noise from the street as we didn't face out. But...

Bad things: The view! Our room (202) looked out at a multi-storey carpark and air conditioning fans, so a constant background buzz. There was a constant draft through the window, which we blocked using the decorative bed runner.

We didn't bother with the £5 continental breakfast - why, when you've got your own toaster and kettle? Cafe Gandolfi also very highly recommended and just over the road.

  • Liked — Great location, good price
  • Disliked — Horrible view and noise from car park

Fraser Suites is right in the heart of Merchant City and only 5 minutes walk from Buchanan St. The location is perfect for going to bars, restaurants and also for shopping. The apartments are huge. I have stayed in both a one bed and a two bed. the only down side is that there is only one bathroom in the two bed which can be a bit annoying if there are four people sharing.

3 night stay at Fraser Suites for work and leisure: used to live in Glasgow and appalled that vistors to the city think this is the standard accepted here! have stayed in similar modern, minimalist aparthotel in Europe also 4 stars and difference huge - kitchen bin in the bedroom? what about integrated bin & appliances for this price; bathroom may have been nice when installed but cheap fittings, tile grouting dirty, bath and floor tile cracked; bed & sofa hard and uncomfortable and cheapest thinnest duvet and sheets i've ever seen! enormous amount of noise from the street and no noise insulation between floors so every footstep from above could be heard; entrance and foyer lovely, reception staff nice and helpful, but rooms & facilities no better than a spacious Travelodge

  • Liked — efficient reception/check in/out and central location
  • Disliked — uncomfortable room, noise

I have stayed in several Aparthotels over the last 2/3 years...they can sometimes be impersonal as they dont have bars and restaurants but the reception and housekeeping staff here were friendly, chatty, helpful and knowledgable, which made all the diffenece to my stay. The apartments were spacious and well equiped and I loved the decor (modern and stylish). They have a gym (which I checked out but didnt use) and a breakfast room which offers continental breakfast which we used on the first morning as we hadnt been shoping yet which was ideal! We were going out in the City Centre and the location was perfect as we could walk everywhere. Will definitely go back!

Just returned from the Fraser Suites and was delighted with my apartment. I was staying for a few nights, so it was fantastic to have the extra space instead of being cramped in a small hotel room.

The location was very central - a few minutes to bars, restaurants and shops, and a 10 min walk from Central Station. The people were all friendly and welcoming, and the staff recommended a great cafe for breakfast down the road which had tonnes of atmosphere.

On reading some of the other reviews, people have mentioned that it can get cold in the winter. During my stay the weather was humid, and the apartments, in particular the communal areas, all felt hot and sticky.

Apart from that, I'd definitely recommend it!
