Stayed here in Dec during an Xmas shopping trip in Glasgow. The suite in which we stayed was large and clean. The decor was contemporary and very modern (perhaps too contemporary : high ceilings, plain white walls and sparce use of furniture which left the room feeling cold and un-welcoming).

My biggest gripe with the room was the very poor single glazed windows which let in a substancial draft. The windows not only let in the cold but also the noise from the street below.

Location of the apartments is great with (discount) parking and lots of small bars and restaurants very close by. Shops are also just a 5 minute walk away.

Staff were polite and helpful.

If I were to stay here again it would only be during the summer months as the poor room insulation is just too much to bear during a chilly Glasgow winter.

We wanted an apartment style place to stay as it gives a bit more versatility then just having a hotel room to go back to. we stayed in a studio type apartment and found that this was ample space for the weekend. Large and comfortable bed, decent sofa, fridge, two ring electric hob and microwave, there was a work area (computer desk etc) which we didn't use as we were on a leisure break but which would be useful for business travellers etc. The whole place was nicely done, clean and modern. Right in the Merchant City and, therefore, very well situated for bars, restaurants, shops and sightseeing, we just walked to most places. We'll probably stay here again next time.

Stayed at the hotel in November this year 2005, was fantastic, the hotel was fully booked i think and the receptionist Lee who was on helped me to no end he went over the top to ensure that i was comfortable even though he was very busy with other things as well. The hotel is clean and all the staff are friendly. There was alot of noise in the hotel which i mentioned to Lee at the desk and he was quick and efficent in going up to rectifiy the problem. The hotel offers a different experience as there is a kitchen in the room as a frequent traveller i liked the idea of being able to cook for myself while away. Kirsty another member of the reception team was fantastic as well she helped when she could. The reception team are the main people in the hotel that you will come into contact with and i can assure you they will do everything they can to help. Housekeeping standards in this hotel are outstanding not a speck of dust anywhere and i hope that the hotel does well it deserves to. The only fault i have and it is not even a fault is that the reed bushes at the door make a jungle feel but it adds to the experience but overall i will return to stay with my family the next time. The guys at reception even have time for kids there, i noticed that Lee took extra care to ensure that the kids where happy giving small fluffy ducks to them in the morning when they where checking out. This was a real treat for me to see such warm and caring staff in a hotel. Especially for a guy within a hotel reception to take such care and attention to all the guests no guest was left uncared for. I hope that you will take a trip and experience the real sense of love in the place.

Stayed for 2 nights on Business. A good concept but feels as though has been done on the cheap. Rooms are an excellent size but actually feel too big for the small amount of furniture in them. The gym is functional but there is only one bike, one cross-trainer, one treadmill etc, so if there were more than two people in there it would be a squeeze. Breakfast was acceptable but basic, i.e. continental self-service.

The few staff, one at reception and one at breakfast, that I encountered were polite but nothing exceptional.

The only strong negatives about my stay were that the sofa and chair in the living area had some very dodgy stains on them, to the point that I wouldn't even consider sitting on them. Also the (broken) bin in the kitchen area stank of cigarette smoke. Had I been staying longer I would have complained and moved rooms but I did not, therefore I cannot say how the management would have reacted.

There is no bar or catering facilities at the suites, however there are lots of very good restaurants near by and an excellent bar attached to the corner of the building that houses the hotel. I believe it was called 'Blu'

Overall I had expected great things based on the web site, in reality it feel far short off the mark. A great concept but poorly executed. I would not be able to recommend this as a place to stay over one of the alternative local hotels.

I have just returned from an excellent weekend stay in the fraser suite apartments, Glasgow. I took part in the Great Scottish Run for leukaemia research and I wanted somewhere that was central for everything the run,the shops and the bars-this was the place I needed. The apartment was fantastic it had everything that you needed DVD player, CD player, fridge, cooker, microwave, sky TV, living room, huge bed and power shower. The apartments were spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly, there is a Q car park next door and if you stay at the apartments the parking is half the price it should be. All in all a fantastic place to stay I would definately recommend it to anyone wanting somewhere modern and central in glasgow.
