Stayed for one night in studio room. Plenty of space, nice & clean.

Well equipped kitchen.

Previous reviews complained of noise, but we had no problem, although it was a Tuesday night. Quiet arear10 mins walk from Central Station, 45 mins walk to Hampden Park

Reasonably priced at £80. Will use again

We were surprised by the size of our studio room. Though the room could have used AC, it was beautifully decorated and HUGE. We didn't use the kitchen much, but it comes equipped with everything you need from fridge to dishes to toaster. We didn't have issues with noise because we requested a quiet room in our initial reservation after reading reviews on here. Didn't have any problem with noise. The staff at the desk were very helpful and gave us advice about things to see in the city. Internet is expensive, but you can go just around the corner to Maggie Mays, grab a pint, and get free internet.

The picture of the hotel rooms wouldn't explain you the level of noise. It isn't just traffic noise or some shouting of people coming back home from the bar. You wouldn't be able to sleep till 3am because of the music from the nearest pub and club, unless you are a good sleeper. I thought that I can do it (I can sleep even there are construction works in front of the house). No way. Fraser Suites proved that their noise is exceptional.

Even worse. Don't try to solve this kind of problems with the staff on the reception. They would be rude, arrogant and absolutely unhelpful.

This place doesn't suit business travelers. Besides guaranteed slepless nights you would be highly charged for the internet (in decent hotels it is free).

Don't be mislead by the pictures of big rooms. This is the catch.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms - very large - that the bathrooms were newly remodeled and nice with good water pressure & no lack of hot water, and the location was right downtown just a few blocks from Princess Square. Would expect to pay 4 times the price in NY or London for such a room half the size. Our first trip we had two rooms, the second stay we had an apartment with 2 bedrooms on the top floor. Only complaints: noise. Our first stay had us on the 2nd floor, and whomever had the room above us wore high heels and walked a lot, and you could hear every tap tap tap tap of her steps. Which wouldn't have been a problem except it was 6am. When we stayed at the Apartment we had all the windows open to take advantage of the cooler outside air, and were serenaded by the band playing in the club below. Luckily they were good, and they didn't play after 11 so no bother with sleeping. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it, esp if you have kids and need the extra room for all their accessories. Having the kitchen area was helpful, we didn't cook anything but the fridge was used to keep sodas & juice cold, and we did use the kettle for morning tea and coffee. Having fans in the room was a nice touch and appreciated for those who are used to AC and need a little cooler air, or at least some white noise. Staff were helpful in finding us a restaurant that would allow kids (some of the pubs do not have licenses to allow under 18) as well as get us reservations on a Saturday night.

This was my second time at Fraser Suites and this time I booked through Late Rooms and got the one bedroom apartment for £80 per night. Last time I stayed I was with friends and my only complaint was that there were really noisy floorboards in the apt. above. This time I asked for a quiet room as we were with our 2 week old baby. We were given room 122 on the first floor. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed.

Parking on street is about £2 an hour on a meter (if you can get a space) or right next door is a well lit, clean multi storey car park that is half price for guests at the suites. This is handy for your overnight parking as its only £1.25 between 6pm and 8am but beware the car park closes at midnight. Just get a voucher from reception before going back to your car.

There are loads of bars and places to eat nearby and I would recommend "Thali" which is an Indian tapas place just opposite. Good service and great food.

The Fraser Suites Glasgow are excellent value for money if you can get it for around £80 a night as you get a big bedroom, great bed and a comfortable lounge right in the city centre. I'll be back for sure.

P.S If you fancy getting out of Glasgow for some even fresher air and top food then check out Loch Fyne Seafood which is about an hours drive north. Best Salmon and Oysters you can find!! Make sure you book a table though.
