We went to see 9 to 5 on opening night, 13th August and thought the show started at 7:30 (I hadn't checked the tickets properly:( so went into their bar for a drink. I had a 'Dolly Mixture' (all cocktails were show themed- nice touch) My husband had a large glass of house white (250ml?) My cocktail was £5 but when they made it up there was only one measure of gin, the other ingredients were fruit juice & mixers.
Before we paid the lady asked if we'd like to order drinks for the intermission but we declined (sooo glad!) The two drinks came to £13.50 i.e. £8.50 for a third of a bottle of mediocre plonk, later that night when we returned to the Hilton we were charged £6 for the same quantity of a far superior wine. We were so shocked we didn't question the charge, their price list was either conspicuous by it's absence or propping up the pile of bank notes they had made on the wine!
The show itself was fantastic with virtual Dolly making an appearance!
