The 2 for 1 deal is totally flawless!
Me and my best friend stayed here over the weekend before Christmas 2007 and had a brilliant time!
The room was of good size for the money you pay, and the bathroom was brand new and spotless!
Loved the late breakfasts on a sunday, we didn't have to get up until 10:30!
Breakfast was mainly hot rolls, croissants with jam and butter, fruit juices and a coffee machine which instead of those crappy wee plastic cups let you fill up big mugs with hot coffee, expresson, mocha, latte, chocolatte?? Brilliant.
Location is perfect, next to the bus station, train station and near the shops and cinema.
If you fault this then you expect WAY too much.

Stayed for 2 nights at this hotel - got a great deal of two nights for the price of one.

Hotel was 5-10 min walk from centre of Glasgow, e.g. sauchiehall street & central station.

Room was adequate size and bathroom spotless & new.

Price on arrival (if not booked in advance) was advertised as over £100 per night - which to be honest if we had paid full price we would have been a bit disappointed as the hotel, as you would expect, is tidy but basic. However, by booking online you are probably going to get a much better price like we did.

Breakfast was continental (and included in price) and consisted of the usual bread buns / croissants loads of different cereals etc.

The staff were superb and couldn't have been more helpful. Reassuringly, when returning late the reception vetted everyone who came in which made you feel very secure.

Overall impression of Glasgow, lovely city and extremely warm and friendly people.

We have chosen this hotel mainly for its great city centre location as Buchanan Bus Station, the Royal Concert Hall and the main shopping areas are all within walking distance.
The rooms are clean and tidy, nothing too extraordinary, perhaps slightly on the small side but we were not going to spend much time indoors anyway. Great for a shopping trip or weekend away without having to worry how to get home at night.

Traveling by train? This location is very convenient to both stations. The rooms are small but well designed. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom very nice. The room and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff was low key, efficent and courteous. The free breakfast will get you off to a fast start. Rooms are heated with wall mounted electric oil filled units. Get the bed close to the heater if you get cold at night.

Just spent the night in the this hotel. Rooms clean and warm and reception was efficient. The hotel's location is very good for shopping or the theatres in Glasgow. Two minutes from Sauchiehall St and the Buchanan Galleries. Also very handy for the two main Glasgow rail stations. The bar is NOT cheap and is a typical Express by Holiday Inn bar, but I cant overly complain as I expected what I got! The Italian restuarant next door is very handy, reasonably inexpensive but I have had much better Italian meals in my time. It was OK - just! All in all I would return to this hotel for a one night stay if I needed to visit Glasgow Centre.

  • Liked — Near to Business Meeting
  • Disliked — Bar was very impersonal - and expensive.
