Great Hostel, good security, clean bathrooms and bedrooms, breakfast not bad. The bar downstairs is fun at happy hour, one tip, there is a guy who is a local that drinks in the bar and picks up travellers, he is ALWAYS there, called tom, anyway, a few mates of mine stayed at the euro and were telling me about him, whom I already knew, quite funny now that 3 different people I know have all given him a random kiss on different occassions because he always sits down there waiting for his next victom. But overall, a very good hostel.

Thank you for writing your review on Trip Advisor.

I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay.

Your comments regarding "Tom" in our Osmosis Bar made us all laugh and we debated for a long time to try and establish who this guy is. I think "Tom" is obviously his stage name.

The question on our lips of course is, did you get a kiss?

Myself and "Tom" hope to welcome you back to Euro Hostel in the future.

Best Regards

Stayed here as part of a large group. Having stayed at many hostels before across Europe, I have to say it wasn't the nicest I've stayed in. The interior was rather dated, the pillow was rubbish, and the showers weren't great - sprayed all over the floor, onto the soggy towels that had been left to soak it up! There weren't enough keycards to go round the group, which was a bit annoying. And we were woken up by very noisy seagulls in the middle of the night - bizarre! Breakfast was adequate - toast, basically, but you had to queue to make it. All in all I'd use the word adequate to describe the hostel.

  • Liked — It had beds, therefore served its purpose
  • Disliked — Broken lockers, generally dated

Thank you for writing your review on Trip Advisor.

I was concerned to read that you experienced some shortcomings during your stay.

We are aware that some of our showers are extremely powerful and our maintenance team are currently reducing the pressure on these units, which will rectify the problem.

As with any high volume accommodation provider our interior furnishings do take a certain degree of abuse from time to time, we are constantly working to maintain a high standard of decor. A bedroom decoration plan has been planned for January 2008.

We have also recently invested in new pillows and mattress protectors for all beds within the hostel.

I would be delighted to welcome you back to Euro Hostel where you can experience the improved standards.

Best Regards

It was my second time at the euro hostel, previous time I was bothered by their strict policy of check in at 3pm, which persists nowadays tooand they could be more flexible about it, but this time I checked in at 9 pm. I ended up in a 4 bed female dorm and having tried several hostels in europe and UK I have to say this one is above the standard. Elevators, full ensuite rooms and decently sized rooms, you get also lockers and table/chair. Quality/price is very good here. I am giving them 5 points because they have been extremely helpful. I am not interested in the osmosis bar, nor the pool area although they seem to be very popular. They have an ok breakfast room and vending machines. The location is superb, both close to main transports (jamaica station, shuttle to airport) and the river. I would definately go back there.

Thank you for writing your review on Trip Advisor.

It was great to read that this was a return visit for you to Euro Hostel Glasgow and I hope we continue to be your first choice when visiting Glasgow.

Since joining Euro Hostel in April 2007 as General Manager I have made several changes to procedure and one includes the check in times which you mentioned. Reception staff will now check in guests earlier if the room type booked is available or vacant from the previous evening. As an accommodation provider to all nationalities we have become more flexible for the international traveller who can arrive at any time of the day or night.

Once again thank you for your comments.

Best Regards

My first hostel experience in the UK! Location was fantastic, room and bathroom was clean, bed was clean and very very comfy. No problems with the staff at all and my room key was fine. Only tiny gripe was with their computers - extremely difficult keyboards to type with! Oh, and breakfast was fine too.
