Me and my girlfriends went to glasgow over the Easter weekend, we found a really good deal via travelstay.com for Euro Hostel and we liked the fact it was based in the City Centre. We caught a flight to Glasgow which was good but our stay at the hostel didnt start off really well, when we arrived we had to wait over an hour for our room because it 'wasnt ready!' when we open the door and walked in, we saw why? bless the cleaner! It was terrible...coke spilt over the walls, windows were dirty, shower was horrific! As we were unpacking we noticed that there wasnt anywhere we could hang our clothes (no wardrobe).....and no hangers, i had to run out to the £1 shop to buy some hangers and hook them up to our bunk beds. The hostel its self has a buzzing atmosphere during the evening, we met some really nice people in lifts and in Osmosis bar, staff are very friendly in the reception and bar area. Our cleaner was really nice (she should be awarded for the things that she puts up with!) Over all we enjoyed our stay at the hostel, and we would definatley stay here again.
Ps. dont be fooled by the Barcrawl advertised in the lobby....£10 is a rip off! you only get one shot at the start and the organisers (ginger twins they call thamselves) have a good night out at your expense! ALL bars are free before 11pm. A good starting point is Nico's ALL drinks for £1.50! For cocktails go to Firewater a couple of bars away from Nico's - try one called Oldskool.....Yummy!
