My boyfriend stayed at the Eurohostel for 2 nights before I arrived in a 18 bed dorm and a 4 bed dorm. He felt the 18 room dorm was a bit noisy and the bathrooms were a bit messy, but that the value was unbeatable. When I joined him, we stayed 4 nights in a private room (bunk beds). I thought it was lovely! The staff was super friendly, the room clean, fresh towels daily and from our room at least (floor 7) quiet at night. The breakfast was a bit slim, but not bad. We didnt have time to do one, but offers tour booking for the highlands right at front desk. Location was superb! Right in centre of city, very close to Glasgow Green, where we saw Radiohead. Overall, a hotel like setting for a hostel price. Would definitely stay at the Eurohostel if ever in Glasgow again.

Thank you for writing your review on Trip Advisor after your stay at Euro Hostel Glasgow.

I appreciate your comments regarding your boyfriends first night stay with noise in the large dorm, our largest dorm accommodates 14 guests. We do encourage our guests to be considerate for other guests in the room however this is not always possible, especially when there is a massive event such as Radiohead playing in the City.

I hope we can welcome you back to Euro Hostel when you next travel to Glasgow.

Once again thank you for your review.

Best Regards

“Very neat place to stay”

I stayed at the Euro Hostel with two friends in the summer of 2007.
We had a perfect stay. The room was very neat. The hostel also was very neat and very professional. The people at the desk are very helpful and there's a lot of information available about Glasgow.
The breakfast was OK. Of course, you don't get scrambled eggs and fresh orange juice. But you don't pay much, so you shouldn't expect that either. The range of products available for breakfast was perfect for the price!
No further remarks, this is just the way I like a hostel to be! I'd even advice it for a low-budget family-stay, because it was so neat and quiet!

“An Excellent Stay!”

Toronto, Ontario

I stayed here for one night during a tour through England, Ireland and Scotland and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay!

I stayed in a private double on the 6th floor and found the room to be a good size, very clean and with lots of hot water in the morning and plenty of very clean towels provided.

The room was also pretty quiet (despite some guy who decided to talk on his cell phone in the hallway at 2am - but he's clearly just inconsiderate and it's no reflection on the hostel).

The staff were all very kind and helpful with any questions I had and the breakfast was spare but hey, for the price I was pleased to get anything!

The location was also really great - I wouldn't hesitate to book here again if I return to Glasgow.

This is a place I would only suggest staying at for a one night stopover. I stayed for four nights and didn't find the hostel that great. I have hosteled quite a lot over the last few years - this one is for me at the lower end of the spectrum.

The shower room was pretty nasty as didn't get cleaned until the morning of my departure five days after my arrival. A towel was provided to mop up any shower spray but as you can imagine after four days of various people showering it was not a pleasant sight, nor was it enjoyable to sink your toes into. Despite the fact the shower floor got a free towel, I did not and was obliged to buy one from reception! Sink also was not cleaned. Yuck.

On the plus side, the location is excellent, you get a some toast thrown in every morning and it is cheap.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on Trip Advisor.

I fully understand that you were disappointed with some issues but that doesn't justify your heading as "Euro Hovel".

I have passed on your comments to our Housekeeper and systems will be reviewed as your room clearly wasn't serviced as our standard procedure states.

Unfortunately due to the low cost of our dormitory accommodation towels cannot be provided, we believe offering them for sale at reception offers a service and not a source of revenue or profit.

I hope we can welcome you back to Euro Hostel Glasgow in the future; I would be delighted to offer you our best available rate if you contact me direct by e-mail gordona@euro-hostels.co.uk

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on Trip Advisor. I am sorry to read that you didn't fully enjoy your stay.

I understand from our Reservations Team that your booking was made via a Booking Agents who requested a Twin Bedded Room for you, unfortunately on the night we had no available Double rooms available, if there had been then we would have moved you.

Your comments regarding cleanliness have been passed to our Housekeeper, I would like to reassure you and future guests to Euro Hostel Glasgow that we have invested funds to improve our standards within our bedrooms including new duvets, mattress protectors, shower curtains, etc.

Due to our location, Glasgow City Centre, we have no control of outside noise.

I would recommend future guests book direct with the hostel by visiting our website where the room types available will be displayed and guaranteed if requested.

Best Regards
