Thank you for taking the time to write your review on Trip Advisor. I am sorry to read that you didn't fully enjoy your stay.

I understand from our Reservations Team that your booking was made via a Booking Agents who requested a Twin Bedded Room for you, unfortunately on the night we had no available Double rooms available, if there had been then we would have moved you.

Your comments regarding cleanliness have been passed to our Housekeeper, I would like to reassure you and future guests to Euro Hostel Glasgow that we have invested funds to improve our standards within our bedrooms including new duvets, mattress protectors, shower curtains, etc.

Due to our location, Glasgow City Centre, we have no control of outside noise.

I would recommend future guests book direct with the hostel by visiting our website where the room types available will be displayed and guaranteed if requested.

Best Regards

I visited here with my fiancee in February for two nights as a weekend escape to Glasgow. We stayed in a private double, and I don't think it would have been possible to get better accommodation in Glasgow for such an amazing price. We have stayed at quite a few hostels over the years (both in dorms and private rooms) and the Euro Hostel Glasgow is definately in the upper echelon that we have experienced.

The staff were friendly and helpfl with our questions (we had never been to Glasgow before, so we had many). They Directed us to the Citizens Theatre where we took in two great productions on the two nights we were in town.

The breakfast was basic, but servicable and the room, bed and washroom were all cleaned to an above-average standard (for a hostel).

I'm planning a guys get-away through Scotland in August and I think we'll stay at the Euro Hostel Again!

This place is nothing short of a dump, staff appear alright albeit some did say that they wouldbnt sleep in the place themselves. The street this place is on is not a nice place to be of an evening either, felty rough. I am a back packer and was here with 5 mates, by far the lowets quality hostel I have been in for a long while, tired, dirty dorms, poor facilities, go for the YHA in the city far superior!!

Stay here only if every where is full!

Thank you for taking the time to write your review on Trip Advisor.

I was obviously very concerned to read that you didn't enjoy your stay.

Readers will see from previous Trip Advisor reviews that this is not the normal standard experienced by our guests, I can only presume that this was an isolated incident. I will certainly check the room which was allocated to you.

In order to restore faith in the Euro Hostel brand I would be delighted to invite you back to Euro Hostel as my guest to experience the normal high standards of our hostel. Please feel free to contact me by telephone 0141 222 2828 or e-mail gordona@euro-hostels.co.uk

We booked a stay in a private double room with en suite bathroom. The check-in was very quick - the nice guy who worked there coped with it in no longer than a few minutes - they are really no bureaucrats! We liked the hostel's central location, it was easy to find. The hostel felt a secure place, and our floor was rather silent to my great surprise. The room was small and simple, the carpet had some old stains and didn't look very clean, but the best thing was the double bed with really fresh and clean white bed linen - what else does a modest traveller need? :) The bathroom facilities looked clean, 4 towels and shower gel were provided. The breakfast consisted of toast, cereals and jams, as well as juice and free warm drinks from the vending machines (which otherwise cost 60 p). By the way, hot water from the vending machines on the first floor is free even in the evenings, if you like to make your own tea - it might be a good idea if the weather is as bad as it was for us. To sum up, I recommend this hostel to anybody who wants to spend his money on other things in Glasgow than luxury accommodation.

Thank you for writing your review on Trip Advisor after your stay at Euro Hostel Glasgow.

I was delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay and the facilities offered within Euro Hostel.

With regards to your carpet being stained we are currently in the process of replacing carpets in various rooms within the hostel. I'm sure you can appreciate the volume of guests we experience, which does have an effect on our soft furnishings.

Once again thank you very much for your comments on Trip Advisor, I do hope we can welcome you back soon.

Euro Hostel in Glasgow was an absolute bundle of fun--4 of us arrived on a Thursday having booked a private room w/ bathroom(I'd recommend this, it saves any embarrassment in a shared shower room!!). The only fault I found with the whole stay was that we couldn't check in til 3pm and we had arrived at 12pm, but we were able to store our luggage and relax in the bar until check in time. The bar is cheap and cheerful with great music and as there was a rangers game on in glasgow that day there was a good atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the free continental breakfast(7am-10am) was a great bonus to have. Location is very good as it's just at the bottom of buchanan street where the main shopping area is along with great cafes, restaurants and pubs. The room rates were excellent and I'd definitely recommend going there.
