We booked a stay in a private double room with en suite bathroom. The check-in was very quick - the nice guy who worked there coped with it in no longer than a few minutes - they are really no bureaucrats! We liked the hostel's central location, it was easy to find. The hostel felt a secure place, and our floor was rather silent to my great surprise. The room was small and simple, the carpet had some old stains and didn't look very clean, but the best thing was the double bed with really fresh and clean white bed linen - what else does a modest traveller need? :) The bathroom facilities looked clean, 4 towels and shower gel were provided. The breakfast consisted of toast, cereals and jams, as well as juice and free warm drinks from the vending machines (which otherwise cost 60 p). By the way, hot water from the vending machines on the first floor is free even in the evenings, if you like to make your own tea - it might be a good idea if the weather is as bad as it was for us. To sum up, I recommend this hostel to anybody who wants to spend his money on other things in Glasgow than luxury accommodation.
