Just spent two days at the Devoncove as part of a large group that meets at various British hotels throughout the year.

This hotel is clean, nice bedrooms, good breakfast and great value for money.

The staff made us feel very welcome and were exceptionally helpful.

I'd be happy to recommend the Devoncove Hotel to anyone - the hotel provided a relaxed, friendly base for great weekend.

This place is a dive. The breakfast was rubbish (but at least they offered breakfast I suppose), and when we pulled back the covers ion the bed on our first night there were hairs on the sheets!

The only thing this place has going for it is that is was quite cheap, but then even at the price, it still isn't like I'd ever want to stay here again.

Myself and my mum just stayed at the devoncove Hotel and had a wonderful stay. Our room was lovely and had a very good shower, had all the facilities most 3 star hotels have. We used it as it was walking distance to the shops and SECC. I was dreading going after seeing some of the comments left but we had a great stay.

My wife and I have just returned from a 5-night stay at the Devoncove. This is by no way the worst hotel we have visited, and our experience is no reflection of some of the reports.
The check-in was efficient and friendly, although we had a slight problem with the key-card, and our room was spacious and clean, with a very acceptable shower/bathroom. The outlook isn't great, but this is Glasgow. The location of the hotel is ideal for visiting all parts of Glasgow and the West of Scotland - the tourist literature was available to all, and contained a good selection of features. Having been there for 5 days, and having visited the reception on a regular basis, I did not hear one customer complaint. The Scottish breakfast was considerably better than a whole lot of so-called "superior" hotels in Glasgow - I speak from experience on that one. I can understand that there might be a problem with the accent and language - Glaswegian is not necessarily the easiest dialect for foreigners to understand. Foreigners can be anyone who lives more than 30 miles away. We would certainly use the hotel again, by which time the on-going refurbishment will have progressed further. All in all the hotel represents good value for money, although I am sure that the management realises that there is always scope for improvement, particularly with attention to detail.
