Myself and my husband stayed here between 27th Jan and 29th Jan 2007 for his birthday and where do I start...!!
Firstly on entering the hotel, the lobby was wonderful. The glass windows and lifts in the hotel give the place a great feeling of space and I loved the fact that it's the first hotel I have stayed in which is very modern.
Things I loved
-------------------
The lifts were fantastic, what a great system. You just press your floor and the lift tells you which lift to get in (quick and simple).
Our room was very well equipped with a coffee machine, cafetiere, robes, slippers, fantastic bathroom products and great selection of beverages.
Bed was super duper cosy.
We had a gorgeous bottle of prosecca to celebrate my husbands birthday (what a lovely touch and a very kind gesture).
Breakfast was great. Fantastic choice and speedy service. On the second night we had our breakfast deleivered to our room, again speedy delivery and top food.
We had a snack/lunch in the Atrium Bar, which again was very yummy. Unfortunately I wish I had listened to my heart and went for my husbands birthday dinner in the Collage restaurant, but instead I opted to eat in Glasgow City Centre and the restaurant of choice was a big let down...I will know next time!
The yummy turn down service choccies - dark chocolate covered orange peel...mmm!
Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble.
Slight Downsides
------------------------
Bearing in mind, these are not complaints, just little things that make things all the better.
More TV channels and flat screens (although I just seen the managers response and this is being put in place - thats service for you). There is nothing I like better than snnuggling up to my loved one while watching american chat shows and drinking champers!
Overall Impression
--------------------------
Myself and my husband would like to thank all the staff that helped make my husband have a lovely birthday to remember. A tip for anyone who is thinking about staying at the Radisson...if you feel anything is up with your room, just ask, the staff are there to help and will go out there way to make sure you have a fantastic stay.
My favourite hotel in the whole world is The Four Seasons, Whistler - the Radisson SAS, Glasgow is now my second favourite.....and that is a huge achievement and I applaud Radisson for their wonderful service...will be back again, just you try stop us!
