I had the great pleasure of staying in the Radisson for two weeks with work. This hotel is beautiful, a real stunner. Very contemporary with some great contemporary art around the hotel. The gym is good, the pool is good, the two restaurants both excelltn and the staff unfailingly friendly.

I was feeling quite unwell one night and the overnight reception staff actually offered to go to the 24hr shop for me to get paracetamol, how's that for service? The breakfasts were lovely, what a fantastic buffet with something for everyone and the waiting staff were exceptional. I can honestly say that after my stay there I will head for any Radisson anywhere in the world as a first choice.

For honeymooners and couples, the corner suites are spectacular, and the staff will bring you a huge breakfast selection if you cant drag yourself away from your room to get to the breakfast buffet!

We loved this hotel. The location was a wee bit odd though right beside the train station. Not a great place to venture out at night, but through the day was wonderful. The staff (especially food and beverage) and front desk were awesome. They bent over backwards to make us feel welcome and did everything they could do to make our stay pleasant. The rooms were great, adjoining rooms for the 3 of us. Luxurious toiletries. Very clean and spacious. We really felt comfortable at the Radisson and praise it highly. I would stay there again and would recommend it to anyone. Well done to everyone at the Radisson. Thanks for making our holiday even better!

As frequent visitor to Glasgow, my partner and I stayed for a Saturday night in late April. Thank goodness we got a good discount on the rack rate. We found our bedroom unclean (dirty, stained bedspread, cushions and carpet) and rather basic (apparently Scandanavian in design but in reality just plain cold and unwelcoming) for a purported 4 star hotel.

The bar staff were some of the most disinterested and officious bartenders I have ever encountered. Mind you, their "walk in drunk off the street" clientelle, swaithed in football strips and scarves and set for the off to Ayr races and an "old firm" football match didn't deserve better.

Another dissappointing aspect was the breakfast service on Sunday morning. Cold plates, cold food in the buffet and the "cook to order" food (one haddock and one fried eggs) took twenty minutes to arrive - and even then was delivered on the same plate. Duh! Another 10 minutes wait procured a half cooked, cold piece of haddock and no fried eggs. Toast seemed an impossible side order and eventually we gave up.... We pointed out the poor breakfast service to reception and the other concerns when checking out but no apology was forthcoming.

Overall an ordinary Glasgow hotel and we think undeserving of the positive reviews from guests and the "sooky" responses from the management team. We won't be back.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights over the bank holiday. Having read the reviews I was expecting something very special, and I have to say when it came to the staff, nothing was too much trouble - even if one of the front desk staff hadn't heard of the Burrell Collection!

We stayed in a Modern Room. My boyfriend thought the room was fantastic, I was slighty less impressed, perhaps because I was expecting a lot after reading all the glowing reviews. The bed was smaller than I've come to expect from a hotel of this standard and, despite e-mailing the manager in advance and asking for a hard bed (as suggested on this site) which they said was fine, when we reached the room we realised the bed was actually rather soft. I don't mind if requests can't be met, it just would have been nice if it had been mentioned when we checked in. When I mentioned this to front desk, they said they only have a small number of rooms with hard beds, and these were already taken by long term guests. So why was I told when I booked a week before that I could have one?

Anyway, a minor moan for an otherwise enjoyable stay. As mentioned by others, the breakfast was fantastic (although we found the waiting staff rather slow bringing the tea/coffee and toast). The location was great, a few minutes from the shops and main station.

Booked the Radisson for our wedding anniversary and we certainly wouldn't hesitate in booking a stay there again. When we arrived we were greeted with the most efficient staff of any hotel, our car was valet parked, luggage dealt with. It must have been the quickest check in that I have ever experienced. Our room was well appointed, all the mod cons. Pity there ws no bath, but the shower was big enough for two. Although we never ate at the hotel, the range of food on offer was very tempting. On our first night after returning from shopping we were greeted with a bottle of chilled champagne in our room for our anniversary, what a lovely touch, and a nice card from the hotel. It is situated a short stroll from all the shops and drinking establishments and we would strongly recommend it.
