My partner and I stayed at the Radisson for 2 nights in February 2005. We loved the hotel, decor was great, rooms very spacious, very modern, fantastic and very tasty buffet breakfast(included in our stay) and staff were all excellent. Got late check outs on the sunday and breakfast was carried through till 1.30pm... great if u wana relax and lie in. However drinks and other food/meals inside hotel very expensive. Be careful not to remove anything from minibar, they will charge you, even for peanuts, which we thought were complimentary. Wetherspoons pub across the road is ideal!
The main problem we found was the leisure facilities.... you have to go down about 5 flights of stairs and through several doors to get to them, no clear directions or arrows to get there, (we opened one door and quickly closed it - it was a wedding reception!) When we eventually got there, swimming pool was small, no steam room, small sauna, very cramped. No privacy as everyone watching you from the huge windows in gym... Facilities are not exclusively for hotel use as the club is for other members (there is an entrance to it on the street also.) My partner and I were dissapointed because for such a top notch, stunning and attractively decorated hotel, we expected the leisure facilities to be better. We only used them once in our stay. Fabulous hotel if u wana live the high life for a weekend but dont expect much from leisure facilities.
