It is a very lovely hotel situated in the heart of city near central station. The hotel is very beautiful and well maintained where cleanliness was observed all times. I checked in into the hotel in the evening and the hotel seemed like very busy at that time. I went into my room was also very clean with full level of perfection in all the areas of the room. Another good thing about the hotel was that it had free wireless internet and i was really tempted and impressed by that. The hotel is located in a very good area as everything was very near the hotel like shopping centres. The hotel looked fantastic at night and all the reception staff was seen very enthusiastic all the time. I did'nt get the time to experience the dinning of the hotel and neither tried the breakfast as i checked out very early and was given a very warm check out by a young indian lad (name which i dont remember) who was very impressive, friendly and professional who arranged everything for me during that hour of the morning. I had some problems with my billings but he managed it so effeciently and quickly. I would leave special comments for him as he made my stay even more comfortable and i am sure i will return to this hotel so that i can get same kind of special treatment.

We stayed here for two nights of a four night trip to Glasgow (the other two nights were spent in Langs).

The positives were the room, ok size and nicely decorated, the breakfast, particularly the cold buffet part and the location.

The pool and fitness area was fine, not the best nor the worse I've encountered.

The concierge wasn't much use to us. We wanted directions to the Glasgow Warriors rugby ground and he didn't know, just advised we get a taxi, although the information leaflet claimed they would help with all sporting fixtures! The guy on reception wasn't particularly warm either.

I'd go back, but only if Langs were fully booked.

Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry to hear you had difficulty getting information about getting to Hughenden, I'll make sure the guys are up to speed on this.

I'm really surprised the person on the front desk was a little cold; usually the comments we get about the team here is completely the opposit but we'll go through this with them and see if we can find out what went wrong.

My wife and I took our children (18 and 11 years old) to Scotland to look for our "roots" and used the Radisson as a first night/last night base having flown into Glasgow. This is a nice hotel in a rather seedy location... totally geared to business travelers and not families. The pool - built for swimming laps - is accessible in the basement only through an rather intimidating fitness gym populated by unsmiling body-builders (we didn't swim). We had a rental car, but no place to load or unload in front of the hotel except for a one car space shared with numerous city busses. Parking at a remote location was left to the doorman (part of a generally friendly and helpful staff). Despite a overly-warm (turn down the heat it is July!) lobby and public areas, modern (to a sterile extreme) decor and over-use of technology (the mini fridge electronically senses when a object is even moved and you are charged thusly), I feel that this hotel would probably be about right for those staying to conduct business... better to book other lodgings if you are travelling with children. Oh, they do serve a really good (and extensive) breakfast with efficent service as part of your tariff (we had two rooms which were about $230 each per night). All of us were a bit disappointed that we had pre-booked our last night in Scotland at the Radisson, but it certainly wasn't intolerable.

Thanks for the feedback.

The location is great for exploring the fantastic facilities Glasgow has to offer - 2 blocks from the best shopping in the UK outside London, within easy reach of some fantastic attractions and, really, you couldn't be too much closer to the social heart of Glasgow without being too close!

Sorry about the heat; I have terrible circulation and assume that everyone feels the cold like me.

The staff here is really special. They were knowledgeable and helpful.

We needed to add an extra night at the last minute; and though our extra night had to be in a different (upgraded) room, the rate remained the same fabulous bed and breakfast value, and the efficient staff moved our stuff while we were out sightseeing. The breakfasts were excellent (both in the restuarant and as room service), the location good for walking to lots of things, and the rooms beautifully designed and maintained. Standard rooms are almost as big as executive rooms and just as nice.

Regarding the neighborhood: we are from the NY city area, so the neighborhood doesn't seem bad to us. We drove up in rain and traffic, and I did have to run inside to get someone while my husband stayed with the car, but I got immediate attention and our car was unloaded and parked for us in very short order.

We liked Collage restaurant very much, thought TaPaell'ya restaurant was terrible.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for my first three nights of four in Glasgow. The last night I stayed at the Malmaison, which offered a better weekend rate.
This hotel is ideally located for shoppers in the UK. The best shopping district outside of London, although Edinburgh has it's share.
The photos say it all. A contempory hotel with a nice staff. Clean and nicely sized room although it is a bit of a squeeze for one of the bed partners. Close to the wall.
Unusual room design. A slight flaw is the amount of light that goes from the bath to the bedroom at night. The Europeon Radissons are a cut above the American and Australian ones in my opinion.
I thought about using the pool, but was intimidated by the gym/exercise room look. I think hotel pools should have a romantic feel.
I got great staff advice about Rogano's restaurant and the Chinese restaurant named Ho Wong. Loved both of them. A bit pricey with the Euro-dollar rate being what it is but I would eat at both of them again. An interesting note is that Scots seem to dress a bit more casual than the Brits when they eat out.
Since I missed a tour bus trip (stood in the wrong location), I got good advice from the staff about how to catch the same tour the next day. That worked out better because of the weather.
Regarding Glasgow and Edinburgh. Bring your portable umbrella. The weather changes every half hour. I am not kidding. It is unbelievable and I have traveled many places in the world. Take a look at a map and note how far north these cites are located.
The hotel is located on the edge of a district being rebuilt. Any USA city dweller will feel OK, but some people from smaller towns might feel a bit uneasy. That is how it is in most Europeon cities. These Scottish metros are not big cities. On Sunday the Glasgow subway doesn't run the first train until 11 AM. Weird.
I am a bit of a hotel buff, who places his own reservations on the web and this place deserves it's rank in Glasgow.

Thanks for your comments.

Interesting point about the bedroom configuration, they are by far our most popular room type but, in the interest of satisfying most tastes, we do have different room designs. It's best to check them out on the web-site and make your selection at the time of booking.

The Health Club is a separate operation by LA Fitness and their emphasis is very much on the health side. Still, loll into the pool, relax and marvel at the effort that goes into working-out ...

There's a great saying in Scotland "If you don't like the weather, wait 20 minutes ..."
