Stayed here because it was central and modern. Check-in was smooth but given smoking room which obviously you could tell but I didn't bother to change. Service in bars good and food good quality. Both bars are pretty soulless and depressing if you're there by yourself in the evening and actually not comfortable.

Rooms modern but strange layout with trendy central TV desk tower but this made room cramped and smaller than it actually is. Nice bathroom but no bath. Overall clean and comfortable. Corkscrew cane apart and hotel replaced the half bottle with a full bottle at no extra cost for the inconvenience, nice touch. Again all roomservice staff excellent.

Never received alarm clock call even hough the front desk showed it was programmed in...

Liked the internet PC near front desk which was easy to use as all you do is enter your room number/name for access - no buying tickets with codes etc.

Pool/Gym is run by LA Fitness and is not just for hotel use but was a proper modern fully equipped facility.
Location is pretty good for shopping and trains.

Overall excellent for business travellers - not at all romatic or intimate.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel recently for two nights. We encoutered a problem on check in to do with the website we booked our room through. I found the manager on duty to be helpful and professional in dealing with the problem.

The hotel itself has an excellent location. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was quite nice. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall though i felt a little let down by the room. Ours was quite small and the bed was very, very soft. The view was not good at all and generally i have paid a lot less and gotton much nicer rooms in various other hotels in the past. Overall the hotel is quite nice but a little over priced for what you get in my opinion.....

Excellent location and friendly staff. Booked executive suites, nice room and sitting area with sofa. Clean and quiet. Reliable free internet. Local tourbus has stop outside hotel. Just steps from rail station. Just a few blocks to main shopping area...all entirely walkable. Restaurants had very good menus, and dinner was excellent. Breakfast buffet also great with eggs cooked to order at buffet.

My daughter and I spent 2 nights at the Glasgow Radisson. In some respects it was a lovely place in a good location. However, in the most important ways it failed the test.
At 5:15 AM on our second day, the fire alarms sounded. We found there was no electrical or backup power. When we entered the fire stairs to escape the building we found it was pitch dark. No stafff person was there with a flashlight to help us. Luckily my daughter had a flashlight which helped some. We waited outside in the cold for one half hour, and after seeing no fire engines or police cars we all filed back into the lobby. No personnel from the hotel could tell us what the problem was or what we should do. When the power returned another half hour later I was afraid to use the elevator and went into the fire stairs. When I went up one floor I found the door locked, so went to the ground floor. Again, a locked door. Finally I found a door that would open on the third floor!
The truly shocking thing was that the hotel obviously had no disaster plan of any kind. Staff never gave us an explanation or an apology for what happened, so I will never stay in a Radisson Hotel again.

We have just paid our fourth visit to this fine hotel in the centre of the city just by the Central Station. It is of modern style with a handsome frontage and vast atrium/reception area with glass lifts which whisk between floors. The rooms are spacious, full of light and thoughtfully designed and fitted.
While this is all quite impressive it is the service which is outstanding - from reception, housekeeping, dining staff not forgetting the concierge in the black kilt who politely holds the door.
For some bizarre reason the City Council has only permitted parking space for two cars at the front of the hotel and even these are marked with double yellow lines! However attentive hotel staff will take your car and park it nearby - and return it when required.
This hotel has standards to which some other classy Scottish operations should aspire.
