It is refreshing to find an original, contemporary hotel such as Langs, well placed in the city centre and with a good selection of accompanying restaurants. The rooms are fresh, clean and though we did miss having a bath, the bathroom was spacious and beautifully presented. We ate in Oshi, the hotel restaurant serving fusion food. Our meals were surprisingly good, though we didn't risk the sushi and on the back of all the Japanese-style dishes on offer, did spend a while debating whether they actually meant to call it 'Oishi' (Japanese for delicious.) Another good tip is that the website publishes all the available offers and promotions so you can often get a better rate than published. Overall, Langs is definitely a worthwhile upgrade from a Travelodge, though not quite reaching the Malmaison experience.

We booked a "studio room" for two nights in a deal that included dinner on one night.

The room was HUGE. It was twice the size of a normal hotel room, with the "living" area of it having a sofa, armchair, stereo, tv (in addition to the tv at the end of the bed) and dvd player. The bed was king size and very comfortable and the bathroom had a shower and the deepest bath I've ever seen (which was also plenty big for two).

Breakfasts were good, though not quite as good as the last time we stayed there and the staff were very helpful. The only complaints really were the mediocre meal in Oshi restaurant on our first night and the smokey bar.

I'd definitely go back.

I arrived at Laings after a hectic day and looked forward to a long hot bath. Unfortunately, this being a "boutique" hotel, baths don't fit in with the style. There was a big, massaging power shower, but you can't lie back with a book and a glass of wine in a shower, can you?
Otherwise the room was smart and chic, with a king size double bed taking up most of it. Like a lot of boutique hotels, there was a CD player which always puzzles me - who brings CD's for a stay in hotel? A colleague commented his room looked a bit worse for wear, but mine was in good condition. The hotel bar looked busy, but I didn't use it nor the restaurant - the hotel is pretty central and there are plenty of alternative pubs and restaurnats near by to choose from. Laings has more character and style than a Hilton or Marriott and thus has a certain appeal, but the lack of a bath might prevent me from choosing it again!

I stayed in Langs in a standard room and it was Lush I don't understand the negative comments about the place I couldn't fault a thing!! My room was recently refurbished with big posh curtains and gorgeous decor the bathrooms are massive, the shower is great especially with a hangover and the bed is huge too!! They have a great breakfast selection, the best I've had in a hotel! To top it all off the staff are very attentive and friendly not like other places.....its a must if visiting Glasgow for a night, or weekend!

This was our first trip to Glasgow. The reception staff were v pleasant and helpful and indeed all staff members were friendly without being unduly familiar. Our room on the 4th floor was spacious and clean although there were some signs of physical deterioration in the tiling in the shower cubicle. Incidentally this is one of the better hotel showers I have experienced.
My only complaint was that on Sunday am the dining room was packed out and we had to wait for 25 minutes for a table to become available. The breakfast was fine with a good choice of cooked foods cereals etc. Unfortunately there was a hold up in the supply of fruit juices. Perhaps this was a very busy Sunday morning. We would use this hotel again
