We booked a £90 special deal from Langs' own website - room allocated on arrival - and we ended up in a suite! Everything about the hotel was spot on - the room was very modern, clean and absolutely huge! The bed was very comfortable with two pillows each and a duvet - a necessity for me as I find sheets, blankets etc very uncomfortable. On arrival we had a drink in the bar, the staff were very friendly and helpful, full of local useful information. We then enjoyed a pre-theatre meal in the Oshi Restaurant which was very tasty and the service was excellent. The breakfast was also great the food was fresh and had obviously not been hanging around on the server for hours even though we didn't arrive in the restaurant until 9.30 am. All in all a fantastic experience - we'd definitely go again!

This was and OK hotel in a good central location. It is modern but absolutely nothing special. While modern and boutique in style is feels a bit cheap to me! Rooms were big though and the beds huge.

Staff were friendly and nice. Breakfast was very average indeed, service was friendly but very slow and the breakfast itself (buffet) was just about OK. The scrambled eggs were just plain bad.

OK if you want a good location but certainly not 4 star.

We have stayed in various hotels/apartments in Glasgow but despite hearing good reports had never stayed at Langs and so we were really looking forward to our stay. Maybe our expectations were too high because we were slightly disappointed which was a shame.

We stayed in a standard room which, although was not the worst room we've ever stayed in, was way below what we were expecting.

The room overall just looked really tired and grubby, especially the bathroom - although they are refurbishing the bar, I think the rooms are in dire need of an overhall too. I suspect when the hotel first opened, the rooms were as impressive as their website claims, but judging from the room we were in I would say those days are long gone!

Despite all of this, because of the other facilities in the hotel I still think that the hotel does offer good value for money in an excellent location - provided you stay on the Friday night special as we did, I would have been really upset if we had paid full price!!

In defence of the hotel, the staff were in the main quite friendly and although the only meal we ate in the hotel was breakfast, this was delicious and served with a smile.

We would stay at Langs again but only at a reduced price - although i don't mind paying extra for superior accommodation, personally I don't think the standard rooms at the hotel are worth the normal price - I have stayed in better for less!

Average stay in this hotel only.
Good points:
- friendly reception staff
- great location
- huge comfortable beds
- good room facilities - e.g. CD player

Bad points:
- shower tiles grubby
- toilet seat hanging on by one screw only
- gym hadn't been cleaned from one morning to the next - empty water cups still lying in the same place
- decor not attractive - e.g. fire extinguishers prominently situated, but in a broken plastic case

This was my 4th time at Langs and I have stayed in the Duplex suite, Langs suite and just tried the Themed Suite. Langs Suite is the best out of all the rooms and really worth the extra. The staff at Langs are really nice and friendly and the bar is a great place to sit and watch the world go by on a busy Satruday afternoon. You have the town centre right on your door step so you have lots of otpions available to you.
We ordered room service that was really promt, changed dinner reservations at the last minute which was no problem and breakfast was delivered to the room...nice and warm. All in all another great night staying at Langs. I'll be back again soon I'm sure. Try it!
