i booked the romantic getaway for my boyfriend and i, for 2 nights, at a rate of 119 sterling per night. the room was definatly set up for two people the basin of the shower was filthy, there were dirty towels in the room and rubbish letf from previous guests. The staff had there morning meeting outside the room we were staying in at 8 am. We got up for breakfast as we were awake from our early wake up call. as aprt of the package we were supposed to recieve bucks fizz with our breakfast, which we didnt recieve and the milk on our table was sour. we asked for it to be replaced which it was but with fresh milk in a dirty jug!!! disgusted by this i decided to check out. upon checking out, i informed the receptionist of the problems and she pushed a comment card infront of me and told me to send it back! i couldnt believe it i was absolutly speachless. i would never recomend this hotel to any of my friends and i also think it is highly over priced for the level of service offered.

Dissapointed. Ireland

My husband and I just stayed stayed at the Park Inn for a few days while attending a conference in Glasgow. The conference hotel was booked and therefore we were redirected to the Park Inn.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The amenities included an ironing board, hairdryer, extra pillows, coffee maker (complete with tea, coffee, and cookies), and for those of you who enjoy taking long relaxing showers, you’ll love the extra spa-like nozzles! They also provided a Playstation system with disks to borrow from the front desk. I was told that some rooms have DVD players instead. They had a large choice of movies at the front desk as well.

The hotel itself was perfectly located; right in the center of the city, surrounded by shopping! It is also right beside the bus station, so you can take a bus directly to the hotel from the airport if you choose. We went to the restaurant located inside the hotel (Oshi) after reading wonderful reviews, and the reviewers were correct! The food was incredible. The Scottish salmon, risotto, and desserts were just amazing.

I think the only possible downfall is that it can get loud, especially closer to the weekend. Since it is in the heart of the city, you can hear some of the shall we say ‘tipsy’ pub patrons singing away. I didn’t find it bad at all, but in case you do, they did supply ear plugs! There wasn’t a clock in the room, but that may have only been our room for whatever reason, so you may want to bring a travel one just in case.

All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we would stay there again without question. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions as it was our first time in Glasgow. They were also more than happy to get us extra towels when asked and quickly helped when we had a slight issue with our door handle.
You also have an option to upgrade to their updated rooms, or split level rooms, but we didn’t feel the need to.

Whether you stay there or not, you MUST go to Oshi. Trust me, you will not be sorry!

On recommendation of the reviews on this site my husband and I stayed at the Park Inn for one night before continuing on our trip around Scotland. It is ideally located near the Buchanan Street Bus Depot - we caught the bus from the airport which cost us 4.20 pounds each. It is also very close to the excellent facilities of the Buchanan Street Shopping Centre and easy walking distance to some of Glasgow's sights, including St Mungo's Cathedral, the City Chambers, etc.

An older hotel that has been done up. We were offered a room which had the bedroom area on a mezzanine floor and a living area downstairs, 2 TVs and comfortable king size bed and furniture. The bathroom was clean with a modern shower with separate jets.

The breakfast was excellent (the best we had had since being in Europe for 4 weeks) and the waiter very pleasant and attentive, as were the reception staff.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent value for money.

I have stayed in the Park Inn twice for business and continue to use the hotel for future business trips. When I arrived in September 2007 the hotel did not have a reservation for me but I showed them my conifrmation from the travel agent we use at work and the receptionist found me a room. Luckily they had a couple of no shows which I was glad of as it was 2am in the morning and I had a meeting early the next day. The room was very modern, spacious and clean. The bathroom was clean and the shower was fantastic. My second stay was in February and again the hotel was great. The breakfast are good with a large choice. The location is perfect and very central for restauarants, bars and shopping. I am looking forward to my stay in September.

This hotel was booked for me for a one night business trip - I expected the usual fare- what a pleasant suprise. Perfect city centre location, clean, well appointed room, free wi fi (you have to ask reception for the code), spa shower and a very good breakfast. The only downside was the view of the disused car park next door - but at least it was quiet.
I am planning come back for a weekend break.
