“Poor Customer Service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

I walked into the shop about 4.45pm on a week day. The chap behind the counter (an older gentleman with grey hair and glasses) was already speaking with a customer. I was not acknowledged upon my arrival. I proceeded to wait patiently while they had a lengthy conversation which led me to believe they were actually friends having a lengthy catch up. After about 10 minutes they ceased their conversation and then the member of staff behind the counter did a number of other things before coming to ask what i wanted. I politely asked for a cappuccino to sit in, only to be looked at and be told we close in 5 minutes and all he could do was a take away. Had he served me upon arrival then this would have not been a problem, i would have had 15 minutes to drink a coffee. I was highly unimpressed and left the shop. I wont return and they have lost a customer and i'm sure they will lose more unless this particular individual sharpens up their customer service skills.

“Great breakfast and lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Wonderful breakfast in a great location. The soup at lunch is the best and changes daily. Great value for a filling meal

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

Found ourselves running late and only time to grad something quick for lunch. Decided to try out this place and had soup and fruit deal. (would have loved to have tried out menu but our time didnt allow). Delicious soup and big wedge of lovely bread plus fruit of choice, very very reasonable, in pleasant cafe style, staff pleasant and quick service suited our rush.
Have since had a good look at menu on line and will be back anytime in the area and needing good casual dining.

“Amazing value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Read about this place in a guide book otherwise we would have missed it. We had spent the morning in the Botanic Gardens and their cafe had a queue so we came here. Glad we did! Great lunchtime meal deal. £4.95 gets you delicious soup, sandwich, drink and a piece of fresh fruit. Too full to try the sweet slices but they looked lovely. Next time we are going for the all day breakfast - hopefully al fresco!

“Healthy Grab 'n' Go Lunch on a Budget”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Hearty soups and sandwiches, friendly staff and a great option if you want healthy food, filling food on the go or a cozy sit-in winter/sit-out summer lunch option.
