“Back for more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

My wife and I were here about a year ago and liked it so much we were hell bent on returning. What good luck to find that it was only a few hundred yards fom our hotel, Premier Inn at Charing Cross. Kevin and his colleagues are very attentive and know a lot about looking after their diners. The food is delicious and there's a wide variety of dishes with something to suit every palate. Portions are more than adequate and the Peshwari nan breads are fantastic. The restaurant has a lovely ambience. Cosy and very relaxed. The decor is traditional Indian restaurant style rather than the new wave of noisy canteen style decor we're seeing so much of nowadays. I hope it stays that way and we'll be back. Thank you Punjabi!!!

“Great curry”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

Over in Glasgow to see top gear live show and picked out the Punjabi from Trip Advisor. Had a great meal. Booked a table but arrived to find the place half empty. Why??? If this place was in York you wouldn't be able to buy a table. I had the lamb chop starter and lamb on the bone for main course accompanied by the best peshwari nan I have ever had. Brilliant. Unbelievably our taxi driver had never heard of the place - he needs to get educated about his city!!!

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2014

Stayed at the Hilton and Marriott and have just found this place. Fantastic friendly service from people who care. Food was amazing. Naan breads are huge, and I would definitely recommend the Keema - stacked with meat. Nothing too hot as far as spice goes, but then I would rather enjoy the taste than suffer the heat. Will be a regular for all my visits to Glasgow. Thanks guys, you really made a difference.

“the best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

the wife and i have been to this restaurant before and we had a wonderful meal and first class service, we went again on the 28/12/13 and what a night , we were met by kevin singh who remembered us from the last time and gave us a warm welcome, he even new what we both had to drink the last time in august and the wife was given her brandy and coke, i had the same meal as i had the last time( lamb methi madras) as it was to die for, the wife who is not good with hot curries took kevins good advice on starter (butterfly prawns in a sauce she cant remember but was out of this world, and a mild main meal) the service was first class by all the staff on the night and we as the last visit was offered a drink on the house, and given a warm send off, so to kevin and all the staff thankyou for yet anither night to remember. rab and sally
