I've been to Chukoku a few times but this was my first visit in over a year. The sign outside said 'New and Improved' and it did seem to be better than before.
I opted for the Grand Buffet (after 6:30pm) which cost £10.99. There was a huge range of Chinese food available including plenty of seafood and vegetarian options as well as a selection of European food and desserts. The food was tasty and not too greasy unlike other Chinese buffet restaurants I have visited. I especially liked the steamed fish, char sui pork and chicken fried rice. The restaurant seems popular with the local Asian community too which is a good thing. The décor had also been improved since my last visit which was nice to see. The staff are helpful and welcoming. Worth a visit!
