“Great staff.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

Visiting Glasgow from Newcastle and booked a table at Brutti after sitting outside in the sun last summer just having a drink. Staff very friendly. Starter of salt and pepper squid ok but burgers were good.

Worth going for the chocolate snowball with ice-cream, cream and monkey's blood (raspberry sauce if you're not a geordie!) alone - lush!!

“Interesting Italian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

I've been to Brutti ma Buoni a couple of times, and it's well worth a visit if you're in the area.

The brutti are smallish pizzas - not really enough for a main course on their own if you're hungry. But they're really well made and have a genuine Italian comfort food feel to them.

The waiting staff are extremely polite and friendly - a credit to the restaurant. Brutta? No no no. Bella for sure.

Recommended.

“great food served with lovely friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

First visit to this restaurant yesterday,5 adults.Lovely welcome, table was not ready but were quickly accommodated with a lovely table upstairs, which was better to be honest. The service throughout the evening was efficient and friendly and certainly not rushed. All our food was so tasty and presented well.Nothing was a bother and changed anything on the menu at our request.Nice atmosphere, food and drinks of reasonable price. This place is worth a visit,we will definitely be returning guests.

“Very buoni - love it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

Was in about a month ago just after the new year and had a lovely meal! We started off with some really tasty olives and soon enough the mains arrived. My partner had a well-cooked steak and I had a Moroccan dish that was on the specials menu. Both dishes were very tasty and hit the spot. The atmosphere was buzzing as usual and lots of people were enjoying themselves. Normally they have some rather interesting art on the walls though on this occasion the choice of art was rather bland (I guess the gold and black panels on display were temporary Xmas decorations - I hope so anyway...). What did disturb me though was that the place apparently is 'proud to serve WEST beer'. Brutti is sadly not alone in this to be fair. The stuff is widely available these days though it's brewed in Germany and then sold in the UK as a Glasgow lager according to news reports so am not sure why you would be proud to serve something like that. However, I really do like Brutti ma Buoni and am looking forward to my next visit.
