We missed the turning for the road to this hotel a couple of times as we couldn't believe such a lovely hotel could be in such a lowly location. It is practically underneath the flyover for the M8. There seemed to be a lot of building work close by too, although you cannot hear any noise whilst in the hotel. It takes approx 10 mins to walk into the centre of Glasgow, so is good in terms of proximity to shops/bars etc.
The interior of the hotel is modern, bright and clean. The staff are efficient and friendly and the concierge was brilliant. The bar seemed clinical rather than relaxing and comfortable but again the staff were good.
Our room was as expected in a hotel of this standard with a large, comfortable bed. The view from the room was not picturesque but then we weren't expecting mountains and waterfalls within the city centre.
We didn't use the spa but it looked very nice although was viewable from the reception and from the front of the hotel as you entered.
The buffet style breakfast was very good with lots of choice and plenty of hot food.
We would stay here again.
