We have just returned from a two day stay at the Menzies Hotel in Glasgow, wished we could have stayed longer. We had a lovely clean room with a big comfortable bed. We stayed on a Dinner Bed and Breakfast basis, the breakfast was an average hotel breakfast, the dinner was absolutely fantastic and the service in the dining room was fabulous, We will return, hopefully for a longer stay. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent service, superb food, great value and really friendly and helpful staff.

Special thanks to Paulina for great organisational skills when we had a minor problem. Also praise to Fiona for advising of a great day out.
You both made our Christmas, thank you. I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed for one night. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and easy to find. The room was clean and ideal for our stay. We didn't have time to use the leisure club but the pool looked very inviting. Staff not very helpful or friendly though.

Hotel is fine but has some serious management issues. We booked as part of a block booking for my sister's wedding, but when we arrived mid-afternoon we couldn't check in and had to leave the wedding rececption to find out that they had double booked some of the rooms.
The only room they had left was a smoking room or a camp bed put in one of the other occupied rooms, or leaving the rest of the party and staying in another hotel. As it was late at night we had no option but to take the smoking room.
As a non-smoker the smell of stale smoke that was impregnated into all the furnishings of the room left us feeling unwell and spoiled what should have been an enjoyable weekend.
Treatment received from the duty manager was shoddy and not in keeping with the class of hotel.

I stayed at the Menzies Hotel for one night whilst on a business trip to Glasgow. I have to say it was the best hotel I have ever stayed at in the UK.

The hotel is pretty centrally located, although there is a bit of walking to get to the main shopping area. I used to work in the area that the hotel is in, and its being regenerated and has been for the past couple of years, so its an up and coming area. As said it's close to the shops, and also handy for the SECC, or if you're coming right off the M-Way.

My room was a great room. It was a corner room and I had windows all the way round looking out onto Argyle Street. The room was really spacious and very clean. It looks like it's just been refurbished as everything is very new looking, and smells fresh.

One of the best things about the room was the A/C - I am always too hot, and hate hotel rooms where the A/C is useless, or you can't open windows. I turned to A/C on in here and the room was nice and chilled - just my cup of tea!

The bathroom was spacious and clean and the shower was great!

Breakfast was delivered to my room, and was lovely as well.

The only problem I could find - and it really is a minor problem - is that there was no full length mirror on the wall. It was inside the wardrobe, which was a bit awkward.

I absolutely loved this hotel, and as I was there on business I wasn't sure of the price of the room (it was paid for by my company). I was so impressed I plan on returning in the New Year with my fiance, and I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of the rooms as well.

This is a great hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.
