Basic is definitley the word for this hotel, apart from a small reception and 3 vending machines and the bedrooms, that's it in terms of facilities.
The rooms are basic but clean, showers and tv etc are fine, all rooms sleep up to 4 which would be tight for space but fine if just staying the night and just really using the room for sleep.
Staff are strange, not the freindliest, though we were there for a football match and I get the impression they had trouble with football fans before. Warned us we would be kicked out if there was any noise, and we had done nothing!!
Although hotel has no food / bar there is a Harry Ramsdens restaurant next door (across the car park) this is handy for meal / drinks and they also do a breakfast from 8 to 10 - very freindly staff there.
Hotel location is not great, sitting under a motorway fly-over, I didn't hear any noise from the bedrooms though. It is not far from the city centre but not great for walking with the motorway location and it would be quite desolate at night. Taxi only about £4-£6 to centre. We used taxis!
You couldn't spend much time in this hotel or location but if you want a cheap stop over to get your head down for a night then it's fine. Basic even by Travelodge standards
