“Weekend In Glasgow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

Hotel is well situated within a short walk to Glasgow City Centre. Hotel provided a clean and comfortable room. Had both an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and both were good value for money and very nice, this was a pleasant surprise and would definitely recommend a visit. Staff were great and we would stay here again.

Dont usually expect much from a Premier inn, but this was great.Lovely and clean, all quite new. Staff so helpful, nothing too much trouble when we asked for extra tea and milk for the room. Easy walk to St. Enoch centre and town, also took a taxi to other side of town, not too expensive. Would definately stay again.

Stayed 2 nights in mid January and was very impressed overall. I got a very good deal on price - £50 for 2 nights - so can't complain at that! Very nice entrance/lobby area, with comfy chairs, plants, etc. Staff very welcoming at check-in. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, with modern decor, kingsize bed and 4 decent pillows (unlike usual 2 thin pillows you get at Travelodge), sofa, large flatscreen TV and big double size shower. Wasn't sure what standard of food to expect in restaurant (dinner at the one attached to Northwich Premier Inn was very poor) but was pleasantly surprised. The meal deal (2 courses for £12.50) was good value and choice was excellent. Prawn cocktail was generous with nice big prawns; chicken curry very tasty! Staff were very friendly and attentive (not annoyingly so). Continental breakfast good value at £5.25 - didn't have cooked breakfast. Barely heard any noise from within hotel and traffic noise from busy road outside was not very noticeable. Location was handy for city centre and only 5 mins from SECC. Not very much in the way of shops or restaurants in local area that I could see, but didn't need them personally. All in all, would definitely go back and would recommend to anyone wanting a good budget hotel in Glasgow.

Easy to book online. Well positioned in Glasgow, just a 10 minute walk to the station. On arrival found staff to be very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was clean. well maintained and very adequately equipped. Despite being close to a road, didn't find the road noise unacceptable. Good value breakfast, particularly if you have children, which eat free. All round very good value for money.

I was not anticipating very much from my recent short stay in the Premiere Inn, Glasgow South. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, service, breakfast, ease of booking etc. For a longer stay you might want a bit more room or facilities but for a weekend or short break, why would you pay more?
