I've been a customer in this pub for many years and spent a lot of money in there and they just don't seem to learn anything from customer feedback.
Visited with my partner on Sat night and ordered Rump Steak done medium rare which it suggest on the menu as the best way to have it. I can only describe what came out as appalling. The steak looked the part but the sole of my shoe would have been more tender than this so called 21 day aged steak, more like cooked for that long. The peas were cold and looked unlike any peas I've ever seen. As for the chips, I've had better frozen chips from Farmfoods.
I complained to the assistant manageress who just shrugged. I then went to the bar and asked if they had any plans to comp this or discount me for the experience to which I got no real reply and a bit of serious attitude.
I won't be ordering a steak in here ever again, I've given them lots of opportunities and they never get it right.
On another note they never seem to clear away glasses from the table and you never see the tables in the bar section getting cleaned, lost count of the amount of times I've asked for a cloth to wipe down someone else's spills and taken the glasses back myself.
I've emailed the company on a number of occasions suggesting improvements to customer service and hygiene issue but never even get an acknowledgement from them.
Oh and nearly forgot that my partner had to take her wine bottle back after finding what looked like a fruit fly buzzing about in it, another sign of poor hygiene.
I don't like putting the place down because it is my local, but I finally had to say something as they seem incapable of listening or trying to address the issues.
