“Nostalgic Trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Had a wonderful nostalgic sail on this fantastic old paddle steamer. Sailing from the centre of Glasgow down the river Clyde round the Mull of Kintyre up through the Sound of Jura and up to Oban. The scenery is something to see majestic mountains mystic islands and the lovely towns and villages. The food on board was excellent, and to dine in the fantastic dining room whilst watching the wonderful scenery slide past. Overall a truly fantastic experience. The Waverly is the last ocean going paddle steamer in the world, she also sails on the Thames, Bristol Chanel and the south coast.

“Histlry on Wheels”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

PS Waverley is the world's last sea-going paddle steamer. She proved it on 3 May 2013 by sailing round the Mull of Kintyre in the teeth of a goodly gale with a swing in her step! Fabulous historical attraction that everybody should support. She sails on the Clyde, Thames, Bristol Channel and round the south coast at various times of the year. Steam-driven. Built in 1947 for LNER and originally based on Clyde at Craigendoran. Catering and bar facilities on board. Don't miss her.

“skye trip cancelled”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

Many of us traveled a long distance to Armadale and waited just to find it had been cancelled.
A notice outside the ferry booking office would have saved some of extra our wasted time.

“Great !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

What a great day out - we went 'doon the water' with my step dad and spent a few pleasant hours at Rothesay before cruising back up the Clyde on a glorious sunny afternoon. All we needed at the end was some fish & chips to complete our day!

“Unique trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

This is a superb day out, no matter the weather.
Sailing or is it paddling ? down the Clyde to the beautiful Kyles of Bute You get a unique view of the surrounding areas of the Clyde, as this old Paddle Steamer meandours "doon tha watter"
Very lively on the weekends, with music in the downstairs lounge.
Food is varied and tasty, drinks priced at city centre prices.
This is a once in a lifetime trip, as the Waverley is the LAST see going paddle steamer in the World,
Great value for money, when you consider the journey time
ENJOY
