“Very pleased with IBIS”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

It's everything you'd expect from an Ibis. Small but functional rooms, cruise ship-style bathrooms, single beds put together, and all this at an extremely competitive price. Location is pretty good, close to city centre and theaters. There are better hotels in Glasgow but I doubt there are cheaper ones that are as good as this one.

had booked well in advance for two nights and a chance to see a popular stage show meant we were double booked for a hotel saturday night so cancelled first night of ibis and staff were excellent in arranging that we check in a day late.the room as usual was spotless though a socket did not work for us .we never bothered to complain as only staying one night but they would have sorted problem out no bother as they only take 15 minutes to resolve a problem according to a leaflet in room.very comfortable beds and quiet as usual in rooms and internet and films available to buy at a good rate per night though we didnt bother with that or the available ipod docking bay to attach to tv..clean soft towels in bathroom and a shower jel on shower wall and a very good powerfull shower as well.i always stay in this hotel when in glasgow and would not hesitate to book again .i have brought others to hotel with us for a glasgow trip and now they book this hotel every time they are in glasgow as well.
bar and snacks and meals available all through our stay and breakfast on sale from early .we have drank in bar before when staying here and foyer is always full of guests relaxing with a drink and watching the large screen tv .for value for money helpful staff and near to shops and theaters etc it can not be beat.security measures mean you can not get a lift unless you use your room key so no chance of anybody just walking in off street so felt very safe indeed.all in all great hotel so give it a try

Room Tip: any room is good but they cater for disabled too if you ask in advance

I spent 140 pounds for 3 nights. Room size and bathroom too small.

This can be used only for staying/sleeping at night. rooms were average clean .

OK to stay if you don't have much options a bit on the expensive side

Clean, cheap and friendly staff. All the simple stuff done well. The beds are also really comfy.
The location is excellent, close to city centre and near enough to subway stations for trips into the west end.
The only flaws we could really find was there not being a lock on the toilet door (although since there were only 2 of us, observing where the other was solved this) and there coukd have been a better choice of tv channels.

About 10 minutes walk from the City Centre (straight line, you can't get lost), the IBIS is clean and friendly, rooms are perfectly fine for a night or two stay and there are maps etc available along with tourist information. The bus from the airport stops nearby, although depending the way you go from the stop it can be quite a steep climb!! There is a superb Indian restaurant called Assam at the City Centre end of the street which makes a convienent stopping off point for a night out, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants all within 10 mins walk of the hotel.

We can up to view the university never having visited Glasgow before. This is easily the best budget hotel that we have stayed in. The rooms were comfortable, the shower was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was filling, not haute cuisine, but tasty nonetheless. We'd definitely return. Thank you.
