“Centrally located acceptable for overnight stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2011

Located on a quite road and near restaurants and high street. I was checking in late night and checking out early morning so was only converned with something economical and I believe there are cheaper options available with this level of service. The rooms and common areas could be a bit more cleaner. Parking is a problem at this hotel but that might be same across other similar hotels in this area so if you are driving perhaps you might be better off considering other locations.

This was my second multi night stay at this hotel this year. While being at the budget end of the Accor Group of hotels, the Ibis on West Regent Street is a clean, confortable hotel with a professional and efficient staff. My room while being furnished to a minimal standard was clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom facilities were clean and tidy with the room and bathroom being cleaned daily and towels replaced.

The hotels location makes for an easy walk to the main shopping streets of Glasgow and many good local pubs, bars and restaurants.

This hotel gives you a good service and good location for an economy price.

Just back from a nights stay here in Ibis Glasgow. Rooms are basic but very practical and clean. Air conditioning came in very handy as it was a hot clamy night. Group of 9 of us stayed here and would definitely return. Excellent value and well located! All rooms were suited for people with a disability as it was a wetroom rather than a bathroom.

Good room, friendly helpful staff, good value. Only the street and the view from the window is not that nice.

Dear Sir

Thank you for taking the time to add your experiences on to our website, unfortunately being in the city centre does limit our views a little but I do hope our hospitality made up for this.

Backpacking with girlfriend in Scotland and Northern England, 10 days in June. We got a very good deal through accorhotels.com, two nights. The room was quite big, compared to what you are used to in England, that is. Very nice staff, helpful and polite. The area is interesting, especially if you are interested in art and architecture and general Glasgow history. Close to Glasgow School of Art, Tenement House (museum), the Willow Tea Room (Mackintosh), great restaurants and bars. It was my second time to Glasgow, and I had a great time. People were very friendly and helpful. I recommend the hotel for people on a tight budget, who no longer want to stay in dorms! (I am 40+)

Dear Miss Traveller

Thank you for your kind words, Glasgow is a hidden gem of great architecture from Andrew Smith and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. You really need to go to the new Riverside Museum on your next visit, it has just opened and is deisgned in the shape of a ship.

I do hope you enjoyed the rest of your holiday.

Kind regards

Swift and efficient check -in and outs. Offered help with directions etc.
Standard ibis room but not pokey like some I have stayed in, also nice and clean.
Bit mean on the towels, only one each.
TV fine but no Sky News as listed, though that was on at breakfast.
Pleasant decor etc in the eating area. Breakfast- made use of the special offer reduced rate which was good value. Saved lot of time and was well stocked and varied, continental style plus bacon , eggs and sausage.
Good location, I'd forgotten quite how hilly Glasgow was in parts but it's a straight walk basically up from St Georges Square/Queen Street Station where we arrived. It's in a pleasant enough district by many law firms, with a nice Georgian Square and opposite The Strathclyde Police HQ. It's two blocks away from plenty of bars, eateries and mini-markets on the end of Sauchiehall Street. Go right to the shops and city, left for more student type bars towards and in Charring Cross. The renowned bar venue King Tuts is very close , plus lots of basement bar/clubs. The Glasgow School of Art and Tenement Museum very close too. You can buy day passes on the buses so that's a good option to start a day exploring the museums etc .
Would certainly use again.

Dear Liammer

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us, we have only been offering a cooked breakfast now for just over a year so I am glad you found it to your taste.

There is so much to do in Glasgow I hope you won't leave it too long before your next visit.

Kind regards
