This place is brilliant! We were on a tight budget looking for accommodation in Glasgow for 23rd/24th July and so booked the small studio at £45 a night. We were pleasantly surprised to find that due to fitting in other bookings, we had been upgraded to the larger studio (first time I've ever been upgraded in nearly 30 years of travelling!). The main room, bathroom and kitchen were spotless and extremely well furnished. Huge, light and airy main room looking out onto the front where there was a park area across the road, the same for the bathroom and a small galley type kitchen (the only part of the studio with no window). Another first was the best sleep I've ever had in any hotel/b&b/self catering accommodation!!

The staff were friendly, polite and helpful both on the phone and during our stay. There is parking outside the building specifically for guests and so no hunting for a space and trekking back miles to the room.

This is self-catering accommodation and we weren't in a position to splash out on the maid service (which I believe isn't too expensive) but how often do you pay much more for a hotel and the inclusive maid service is lousy??!!

On a practical transport note, as this is in the West End area we went into the city using bus and taxi (though we did walk there and back on the Sunday when we had more time). The bus stop is a few minutes walk away and £1 takes you into the city centre. Taxis varied from £5.40 to £6.80 (the latter as we had to go round the one-way system and got stuck at every red light going). An emergency shopping trip into the West End cost £3.20 there and back including the cabbie waiting for us. The Botanic Gardens are about 6-7 minutes walk away to reach the North-West corner of the Gardens.

The best recommendation I can give is that my partner has booked in for another 4 nights next week while he is in Glasgow on business. A city centre hotel location would have been more practical for him, but he would rather go back to somewhere tried and tested where he can be sure of an excellent room and service.

A range of tastefully furnished self catering apartments perfectly located in the heart of the West End. An ideal "home from home"!!
I very much enjoyed my stay which was complimented by helpful friendly staff.
