we stayed at the whitehouse apartments in one of the mews cottages overlooking the bin area over the easter break what a disapointment the staff were fine but realy for the price they charge we were expecting nicer accomidation i thought there were people living there long term before we arrived wouldnt have stayed there if we had saw it before we booked it the website is very misleading

My husband and I chose to stay for a third time on the 4th/5th of October at White House Apartments. We received a very friendly greeting as always. We had been kindly upgraded to a Mews Cottage which was fabuous. Very cosy, warm and homely - with a lovely view onto the back patio. It was very quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was immaculate, the bathroom and show fab, bed very comfortable. Everything was spotless and to a high standard. I can't recommend this place highly enough if you are looking for serviced apartments in Glasgow. We have already booked again for Christmas!!

We absolutely loved this hotel. Went with my 75 year old father, and my sister. First of all our flight landed at 8:40 in the morning Glasgow time. We got to the White House at 9:30 a.m. and they told us our room would be ready by 1:00 (when check in isn't until 2:30) and it was actually ready at noon!!! We left our luggage in reception while we walked around and had some breakfast. The room was very clean, they even brought more clean towels into our room mid week when they aren't supposed too and topped up our coffee, tea bags, sugar and milk. Reception called us a cab every morning when we were ready to leave. The caretaker told us about Byres road to eat dinner and we had a great time. There is a computer there that they don't charge for and my sister and I spent hours on there typing to our husbands and kids. Which was great and saved alot of money on phone cards. One of the Managers even made my sister a Haggis.

All in all we loved the White House Apartments and will definately stay there again.

After reading all the reviews on trip advisor and seeing the photographs on their website, we were not expecting what we saw.

We had booked months before our July holiday and even spoke to someone on the phone, they promised to give our group of 4, a fantastic two bedroomed cottage.

When we saw the interior of the cottage we nearly fell over, it was more like a student pad, musty, dirty stained carpets and furniture, the bedrooms were so small and musty we could hardly breath. We immediently asked to see another, next door we were shown another two bedroomed cottage, didn't smell as bad but was still awful.

We were so exhausted we had no choice and stayed the night. The mattress in the double room was to the point of being painful. I had to sleep on pillows to ease the pain from the metal sticking through.

One good thing about this experience was the staff were very helpful, but couldn't offer another room.

We called around to bed and breakfast in the Loch Lomond area and stayed in a bed and breakfast for the rest of our week long trip. For the same price.

I was disappointed in the standard and be very careful where they put you, it seems there are very good rooms and preety terrible.
