“Great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2014 via mobile

We've stayed here twice and I'm sure we'll be back.

Everything was as expected for a hotel in this price range.

Nice rooms, modern, friendly, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, great location for SECC & city centre.

I stayed here for one night on business. The hotel is quite small for a Hilton but is quite modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. However the room was quite small and cramped and would have been a squeeze for two. The Apple TV was a nice touch though. The food in the restaurant was nice although a little more imagination in the menu than the usual steaks/burgers would have been nice. Overall, a pleasant experience but for £99 room only, no more than expected.

Stayed the first week of June (1st - 8th), a group of 20 people, including 12 students who were on a student exchange with John Paul Academy. Check in was quick and easy. The staff even arranged the conference room for us to have dinner together on the first night. We really appreciated this. Breakfast every morning was good, a fair variety of hot and cold items. Staff at breakfast were very pleasant . Generally, the staff at the hotel were very helpful and pleasant.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit small. Had a nice view on the river Clyde. Liked the Neutrogena toiletries in the bathrooms. The gym is small, but adequate, and clean and comfortable. The hotel is about 30 minutes walk from the city centre, and 10 to 15 minutes by taxi. It is also very close to the Hydro for concerts. The staff arranged a breakfast bag for all of us, including coffee or juice at check out, as we had a very early flight. We appreciated this a lot. Overall we had a great time in Scotland.

Room Tip: Upper floors, overlooking the river, Clyde for a better view. Stayed on the 4th floor. It was very...

i booked 2 nights at this hotel,on arriving at1.30 we were told room was not ready yet, it seems checking in is at 3pm, so we had to wait, decided we might as well have something to eat in restaurant, food lovely, at 2.45 receptionist told us room was ready, i had booked a queen room with view, room and bed quite small, but adequate, breakfast was nice although plates small, i asked for the scrambled egg with smoked salmon, but was told salmon was finished, this was at 9.30am so get down to breakfast early if you want the salmon, staff very polite and chatty, will use this hotel again as free wifi and parking is only a fiver a night.

Room Tip: rooms are small, we were on first floor so they might be bigger the higher you go up

We had a 3 night stay here. We regularly stay at Hilton Garden Inns in the USA and this is the smallest HGI room I have ever stayed in. The room was a shoebox even though we were supposedly upgraded. Obviously the top floor is regarded as an upgrade. There was too much furniture in the room for the size of it, take out the lounge chair for a start ! The bathroom was incredibly small. After a shower it was basically impossible to dry yourself unless you went out into the bedroom. There were not enough hooks to hang your towels. And nowhere for your makeup bag or toiletries. We had breakfast included daily and this was good. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night and this was also very good and the staff friendly and pleasant. We had a good view of the bridge at night.

We stayed in glasgow overnight for a concert and yet again stayed in this hotel. Fantastic staff, so friendly and helpful. Room was great, shower lovely and had a great sleep. We've stayed in other hotels in glasgow but they can't match this hotel. Breakfast was fresh, hot and plentiful. Constantly being refreshed with new food & the staff always clearing away tables. 10 out of 10 to your staff who are so approachable and friendly! Hotel so handy for hydro for concerts and also for city shopping trips

Room Tip: We have stayed in rooms with river view & last night out room faced the rotunda and bot rooms we...
