“View of the Clyde”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

This hotel is ideally located not only for the SECC and Hydro but is only a short walk (some covered) to the station and two stops from Glasgow Central. The hotel is modern and although the rooms are not large they are more than adequate. Equally they are well equiped with free internet access (imac) and wi-fi.
The hotel was very busy due to a concert being on but the staff coped very well. The restaurant was fully booked but we were able to get a table in the bar. Had an Asian noodle dish and this was really quite good.
Breakfast was really very nice with a wide selection and all nicely cooked.
Would definately stay again.

Room Tip: River view is a must

Loved the location of this hotel. Next to the Hydro, SECC and the Clyde Auditorium, ideal for a lovely walk along the Clyde. The room was very nice, not the biggest room but perfectly adequate. The rooms are modern with an iMac. We were in a room over looking the river so the view was brilliant, even number rooms overlook the river. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast was Buffett style and very enjoyable. We got an extremely good rate because no concerts on at the Hydro or Clyde Auditorium.

Room Tip: Even numbers overlook the river

Were again there this year, superb location at the River Clyde, modern-styled rooms with Mac PC / TV and complimentary Wi-Fi, clean soer and room, perfect location to stay. Breakfast always sufficient and with a good variety of warm and cold dishes, juices, bread and fruits. Staff is always freindly, helpful and supportive. I was granted a riverview room as courtesy gift. Perfect stay, like to come back soon- Thanks to all, who made my stay very warm and cosy.

This was a flying overnight visit, but the hotel was better than I expected. We arrived early and were told our rooms were ready and we could check in. Small but perfectly adequate room, clean and with tea and coffee room. It is about a 15 minute walk along the river to the city centre, but it was raining so the receptionist called us a cab. It cost £4.50.
We booked our evening meal at the hotel for 6p.m.
Beautifully presented table, excellent service, and delicious food, couldn't fault it. My only gripe is the cost of drinks, £25 for a bottle of fairly standard white wine...bit steep!
Good nights sleep, nice lie in. Then a delicious self service full scottish breakfast, even had haggis.
A very pleasant experience overall.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view if possible

Stayed in Hilton Garden Inn as we went to a show in the SECC hotel was great for the location, the room was ok not the biggest but was fine..lovely shower and bed was comfortable..

The only issue we had with the hotel was the Hearing system we wouldn't turn it down and the room was boiling which was uncomfortable...

Would only really stay here again if we were going to SECC or hydro...

Room Tip: We'll we had a room on the first floor and heating was terrible so maybe try a higher floor!

The rooms were fantastic, beautiful view of the Clyde but what was best was the extraordinarily helpful, friendly and accommodating staff - who went above and beyond our expectations, Nazir and Sharon deserve a raise.

A very good located hotel, from the car park you can see the Hydro venue, a 2 minute walk. In the hotel itself, clean and high standard of service as expected with the Hilton hotels. The restaurant was fine but the menu was more of a 'higher class' & not good if you're looking for more normal meals. We opted for the soup. Price wise for the hotel overall, It's slightly over priced when events are on at the Hydro on comparison with other nearby hotels. However, very much recommended hotel.

Room Tip: The standard room had A/C. Wouldn't be worth upgrading for a river view (I've stayed in both...
