Located on the West side of the city, we were greeted with a warm Glasgowian welcome and shown to our room at the top of 2 long flights of stairs. The climb was worth it, as we arrived to a windowed room looking out onto the fine greenery of the Great Western Road. Breakfast the next morning featured healthy cereals, juice, coffee/tea toast, eggs, bacon and sausages. Everything was grand, but the sausages we have for breakfast in America are not the same as they prefer in Scotland. There are plenty of other choices on the menu, so we were fine. They were happy to lend us both a wine corkscrew and a voltage converter (though we couldn't figure out the workings). The proximity to the fabulous botancial gardens as well as a nearby underground train station was fortunate as well. The price is also rather sweet and all in all our expectations were exceeded.
