“pleasant and peaceful pollock park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Visited here today and had the loveliest day out. We purchased an itison voucher for a high tea for two in the Burrell Restaurant and it was amazing value for money as the food was freshly made and tasted great.

The Burrell Collection is worth a visit as it has many interesting exhibits but Pollock Park itself is really beautiful and in today's glorious sunshine it was spectacular.

The very impressive Pollock House doesn't open until April 1st so we didn't have the opportunity to see inside but we spent a very pleasant half hour strolling round the delightful gardens.

I would recommend Pollock Park as a great day out for families and couples alike.

“Fascinating Little Museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This is a wonderful, fascinating little museum, housed in a lovely building set in beautiful grounds. We love it, the kids love it, we loved it as kids and best of all it is FREE! You can spend a couple of hours here even if you have been before. My favourite things are the Egyptian artefacts. The cafe is not too terrible and there is a great kid's playpark outside.Parking is easy and the grounds are lovely for a walk or a picnic.

“What a wee GEM!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Love this place. The collection has some great pieces (love the medieval stained glass and the Renaissance furniture!). I honestly can't wait to get back there, it is just such a wee gem of a museum. Kelvingrove is, of course, not to be missed either (they have such an eclectic--and eccentric--collection of things in unusual exhibits) but this is not as well known but just as enjoyable. Wait til you see the front door/archway! Also, have a nice cuppa at the cafe, it's lovely as well. Such a good wee afternoon to be had here.
