“Interesting view into Glasgow's past”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

The museum was interesting, but the winter gardens were the best for whiling away a few hours on a cold winter's day. You could almost imagine you were someplace warm and sunny! Hence the name.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

A brilliant venue for an extremely cold Sunday afternoon. This is a brilliant visitor attraction with loads to see. Easy access for and very helpful staff on hand to help.. Amazing to walk through the 'people history' of Glasgow and the winter garden was beautiful, hard to believe they are growing bird of paradise in there and outside with wind chill it's 6 below.
The coffee shop was well stocked, self service, they also serve main meals. It has a great atmosphere. Well, well worth the visit and like all Glasgow museums it's free!!! Although there is a donation box with a suggested £3. The Doulton fountain outside has been beautifully restored and there is a great view of the old Templeton carpet factory building just opposite. The grounds have a children's play area. Truly the 'Palace 'O' the people!!

“A warm place on a cold day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

All you ever wanted to know about Glasgow and its inhabitants in a well thought out building. Warm and friendly like Glasgow folk. Good for a stroll in the park on a sunny day too with lots of play areas .

“Alright...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

The people's place is a bit out of way, and honestly not worth the trouble unless you have a lot of time to spare. The palace is designed with kids in mind, but for a more mature audience I would not recommend visiting the palace.

“Glasgow of the past”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

A real insight into Glasgow's past and a lovely Winter Garden and cafe. A great place to spend a morning or afternoon without spending a fortune. Staff are very helpful
