“Great Displays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

I went here for the art exhibition and for £2.00p entry or £5.00p with catalog included it was worth every pound.

A great array of original art from professional and amiature artists around Scotland.

Some works were so unoriginal like the 5 or 6 showing Irn Bru cans in One form or another it's like the Bagpiper on the shortbread tin image.

There is One artist whose name I remebered James McDonald,
The Jam piece was just a treat to look at if only they had a 4D experience.

“AS”

Not a lending library but a refrence library and stunning inside and out well worth a visit. The surrounding area around it is a bit tacky but walkiing down Sauchihall Street it looks great.

“Excellent place to study”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Anyone wanting to research the history of Glasgow and/or Glaswegians has to visit the Mitchell. The archives are extensive and it is advisable to seek advice from one of the staff members who can point you in the right direction. There is a cafe on the lower floor.

“Well Worth A Look”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Back to the Mitchell to research for a school project. Friendly helpful staff, and excellent cafe. Wealth of resources if researching your Glaswegian family history, and the building itself is simply an architectural joy.

“Go on, learn something new.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Everything a Glaswegian needs to know is here. Friendly and knowledgeable staff add to the experience. Next wet and windy day give this a try, you will learn a lot. You can also have a lunch in the excellent cafe/resturant, as I say, great for a wet day..
