“Very informative and interesting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

We enjoyed our visit today, very informative and interesting. The guide was very friendly and didn't rush us at any point. All of the staff were friendly. Even on the cheapest tour you get a wee dram, or not so wee. Probably best not to try it if you are driving :(

“Take a trip to this brilliant boutique distillery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

I went there with my brother and Dad recently for a whisky Taste, no Tour. Without booking they were able to offer us a last minute private Whisky tasting where we tried the 10 12 & 15 year old malts. It was only 10 pounds per person and we had decent measures and our tasting host was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I ended up buying the Teapot Still whisky which is one of the special limited edition offerings. Well worth a visit followed by a meal at The Old Mill Inn in Killearn.

“Excellent tour, beautiful surroundings.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

Visited Glengoyne as part of a small tour of England and Scotland. Booked onto the last tasting tour of the day. Although at the tasting itself, only myself and my partner were present with the guide (we were on the last tour of the day) we weren't rushed at any point and enjoyed ourselves. Similarly when choosing some Glengoyne to purchase after the tour, we were left with ample time to make an ínformed' choice. Informed in the sense that we knew we wouldn't leave with just one bottle!

“Excellent Tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

I visited the distillery whilst on holiday during a rainy day in July (a great weather-proof plan!) We had an excellent tour of the distillery, it was interesting to learn about the distilling processes and the wee dram at the start of the tour was most welcome!

“Tasting Tour”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Completed the tasting tour with a couple of friends, they had done 14 tours in a week with this being their 15th and we're all experienced distillery baggers, despite saying that we were still treated to some of the "ignorant tourist" rubbish on the tour.

The drams are all decent although i would have preffered to have had the teapot dram in the house as well as the others before moving onto the shop as moving to the shop for this felt like we were being rushed a little and it's not as nice a place to enjoy the dram.

tour guide was very friendly and obviously knowledgable, but wasn't really able to customise the tour to our needs as much as we would have expected.

Lack of being able to do ANY photography within the buildings is a joke and i have no idea why they are doing this, it would only be a safety issue if a off camera flash was used against a hard surface ... without flash there is no risk and even with flash camera phones use LED flashes not capacitor ones and as such there's even less risk of a spark.

they really should revise this policy as it's a real disappointment to not be able to take photographs on your tour.
