I loved the marble - everywhere you look it's there; pillars, staircases, walls. It really isn't like Scotland-more like Italy, a palace. The guides are knowledgeable and helpful, and you can take many photos. You can even sit on the "throne" in the debating chamber! See where the the local counsellors have their splendid offices, admire the paintings of former Lord Provosts, find the hidden"pictures" in the marble veining. A grand trip for those who like opulence and would like to know more about Glasgow's great interior architecture.
